Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to have a "cream-to-powder texture" that is "kiss-proof once set" with a "silky and weightless" feel on the lips. The brand didn't specifically make any claims about pigmentation in their description, but the promotional swatches included at the point of purchase show fully opaque coverage across the board.

They have a very lightweight, mousse-like texture that was very lightweight, velvety, and smooth with good spreadability. The applicator held a good amount of product without being too generous, as I did not feel like I had to wipe off excess. They took a few minutes to dry down, and the dry down time varied a little between some shades. They were forgiving of most lip texture and weren't too prone to emphasizing lip lines or settling into them.

Most shades had opaque color coverage in one layer of product. With deeper shades, two layers tended to be better for full, even coverage, despite the shades themselves being quite pigmented in a single layer, but they were more prone to spreading and diffusing unevenly. The shades tended to dry down within 15 minutes with some doing so within five minutes to a more transfer-resistant finish.

The formula wore between four and eight hours on me with deeper, reddish shades lasting longer and leaving subtle stains behind. They felt non-drying over time. I did not notice any scent or taste.

I seriously love this formula. This shade is so nice, I'm always a sucker for these deep warm reds! This shade in the Lip Clay formula is a bit patchy, but can be built up to be opaque enough. I do suggest using a liner with it if you want a crisp line. Once applied, it lasts untill you wipe it off, and if blotted, it can be mask-proof. It's comfortable enough for me, somwbody who hates most liquid lipsticks, which really says a lot. I have 6 shades of this formula for a reason!

Lovely formula, lovely color. It applied opaque, and wore comfortably. Its not transfer-proof, but will last unless you wipe it off. The color isnt the most unique, but if you want a true chocolate brown in a comfortable yet long-wearing formula, this is it! It can be blotted down a bit to be worn with a mask. Wet n Wild Gimme Smore is a 100% shade dupe in a similar-feeling formula, but Gimme Smore heavily fragranced, cloyingly so in my opinion. So if you like that product but want an unscented version, this is it! It's also similar in formula/feel to the NYX Matte Lip Creams, with the closest shade being Berlin, but it's darker and cooler/more neutral than Berlin.

A truly unique shade in a truly confortable formula! I have a ton of mauves, greiges, and greyish purples, but I seriously don't have a dupe for this one. It's truly matte, but not fully transfer-proof, resulting in a more comfortable liquid lip, which is worth it for me. It's opaque and applies well, and the applicator lets me get a nice, precise application.
