Dead Man's Toe is a deeper, purple-berry with cooler undertones and a matte finish. It was fairly powdery with a drier, thin consistency that yielded more semi-sheer to medium coverage that was hard to build up. The first time I tried to use this palette, I used this in the crease, and it was a disaster. The product did not apply evenly, and the more I tried to build up the color, the less color that adhered at all.
There was so much fallout, too, and excess product kicked up in the pan. What little color translated to my skin stayed on for seven hours from what I could tell. I tried it over primer, too, and it was not much improved--slightly less sheerness but still similar application issues with respect to building up color and blending it out.
