Rudolph is a deep red with cooler undertones and a flat, matte finish. The pencil yielded full color payoff in a single stroke, but it wasn't as easy to get an even layer of coverage on my lips when used to fill-in, so I would make sure to use it to outline my lips or ensure it was merely a base for something more opaque (like the lipstick in the duo). There was enough glide to work for outlining, but it was more prone to tugging and felt on the thinner side for all-over color. This shade lasted for over six hours and felt slightly drying over time.

SHARPENING TIPS: Make sure your sharpener fits your Lippie Pencil perfectly, if it doesn’t it may eat up your pencil. Also, the blade of sharpeners get dull over time, just like a razor ladies….
