Editor's Review

The updated formula is supposed to have "18-hour" wear that is waterproof and be "super pigmented" for both the lash line as well as the waterline. The brand stated that the formula will set "after around 10 seconds." Many shades had semi-opaque to opaque, buildable coverage, but some shades had uneven, sheerer coverage that did not layer well, so they were more challenging to apply and to use.

The majority of shades were creamy enough to glide across the lash line without tugging or pulling, though a few shades were stiffer, more prone to breaking or dragging.

The formula seemed water-resistant based on testing with water, but the wear was more like 10 to 13 hours (depending on the shade) rather than 18 hours of solid wear. A lot of the shimmer shades lasted four to six hours on the... Read More.

The formula seemed water-resistant based on testing with water, but the wear was more like 10 to 13 hours (depending on the shade) rather than 18 hours of solid wear. A lot of the shimmer shades lasted four to six hours on the waterline, while more matte shades tended to last five to seven hours on my waterline. These are long-wearing times for a pencil eyeliner, generally, but they are a fair bit short of the 18-hours claimed so a lot of shades rated lower than they might seem if you aren't a stickler for 18-hour wear!

Mine dried up to the point it is crumbling apart in 10 months. That is unacceptable I bought three colors at the same time and they all did this!

I bought 3 different colors of the gel liner and in 10 months they were all so dry they were crumbling apart. Unacceptable. I own many liners that are older and are in a similar price range that work just fine.

Pretty color, lasts 8 hour day in my waterline. Doesn't irritate my eyes at all! I love this.

Probably the makeup item I use most often. Subtle, complementing, and goes with anything. You can smudge it if you want and make an eyeshadow of it that way, but it won't smudge on its own. Ridiculously pigmented - full, opaque cover in one pass. Colour is a rich, warm, medium gold.

Makes green eyes pop like nothing else - this is a rich, warm, not-quite-matte not-quite-glittery purple. Can be lightly smudged with fingers immediately after application, but after about 5 seconds will stay nice and put even through +30C, ~65% humidity summers. The one problem is the texture, or rather, the consistency. It's smooth enough in application - not as much as the properly metallic shades, but smooth still; it breaks entirely too easily, though, and requires a lighter hand than even my liquid liners! That's a fair bit of a problem; it's the perfect shade for green eyes, but I can't wholly recommend it to anyone who doesn't have serious trust in their hands.

I love how creamy and easy to apply this pencil is, I can use it on my upper lash line without pulling which is amazing! The packaging is a little tinny but for the price and the quality of the product you can't complain. Super black and once it sets I had no transferring or smudging.

I agree what the other person said. I think they made a bad batch of punch because i got the same results. It was crumbly, had to go over alot, not a good consistently, and just bad. I was so excited to get it and was pissed disappointed when i played with it. I already have best o and puppy love and i like them. Punch is a beautiful color but overall its just bad.

I'm hoping I just got a bad batch, but my yellow was waxy and barely laid down any color without going back over many times. It was crumbly and prone to breakage even with barely any product pushed up. I normally love Colourpop, but this one fell totally flat.

I purchased Piggy Bank and Prance in my most recent CP haul, and had to try this color out as I love purples. What I was particularly looking for was a purple that was a vegan formula, as most purple shades have carmine in them, and cause my eyes to have an allergic reaction. This color is SUPER pigmented - it reminds me of the lighter purple shade in the Urban Decay Electric palette - it's a bright fuschia-y purple, very creamy, smudgeable and extremely long lasting. This did not migrate from my waterline all day long. When it did come time to remove my eye makeup, this did stain my waterline and upper lash line and the stain was still there the next day - so that's why I am knocking this down one star. Otherwise, great formula - I will definitely be purchasing in the black and brown varieties - and you can't beat the price for this staying power and the fact that you don't have to sharpen the pencils!

I recently purchased two of the colour pop creme gel liners and I am definitely pleased! I have "prance" and "cry baby". Both are highly pigmented and "prance" is much brighter than the picture and the packaging on the website shows. It is a cornflower blue that lasts soooo long. Honestly I should have bought it in a black or a brown too, because the staying power is insane and I would use it in place of my classic eyeliner.
