Artful Deception
Pretty Vulgar Artful Deception My Lips are Sealed Liquid Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a dark, taupe brown with warmer undertones and multi-colored pearl. It had rich pigmentation that covered the lips with even, opaque color. The liquid lipstick was smooth, just a touch tackiness, and spreadable, though there was a bit of color that sat in my deeper lip lines. However, this wasn’t as noticeable in person as the glossiness distracted from it. The color wore well for almost six and a half hours with most of the glossiness
The formula is described as “full coverage” and “long-lasting” with a “glossy” finish. It is more like a literal interpretation of liquid lipstick, as the finish was absolutely glossy and the lipstick did not dry down and set. The formula was long-wearing, though, as the glossiness lasted for three to four hours and then wore down to a satin-to-matte finish that still was quite pigmented. Initially, I would have described it as more of a gloss, but the way they wore down to a satin finish eventually made them more like a very glossy lipstick after all. There was a faint sweet scent but no discernible taste.

Brilliantly Sneaky
Pretty Vulgar Brilliantly Sneaky My Lips are Sealed Liquid Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a brighter, medium coral-red with warm undertones and lots of fine, gold and pink pearl. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly on the lips. This particular shade seemed more prone to pulling into my lip lines and highlighted the texture of my lips more. The consistency was smooth, not too thin or too thick, and easy to spread across the lips without it sliding around. The glossiness lasted for four hours, while the color lingered for another hour and a half after that.

Made with Mischief
Pretty Vulgar Made with Mischief My Lips are Sealed Liquid Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a rich, deep purple with warm, reddish undertones and fine violet and plum pearl. It had good pigmentation, though not quite opaque, that applied evenly and smoothly across the lips. The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, lightly tacky, and comfortable to wear. There was a smidgen of product that creeped into my lip lines, but the shininess made it less noticeable from a normal viewing distance. This shade wore well for six and a half hours on me (though the shine had worn down by the fourth hour) and was hydrating.

Artful Deception looks SO pretty, it almost makes me want to give metallic lips another go even though I know they don’t work for me. If only it were an eye or nail colour!
Awww!
How beautiful!!! I’m loving all 3 shades, haha! Thinking I will get Artful Deception first, then Made With Mischief 2nd.
This brand makes me think of the older Too Faced packaging and image, instead of the overly kitschy, childish route TF took in recent years.
I have heard a few compare it to Too Faced – even old school Too Faced – for packaging/look!
Yeah, it does look like older Two Faced packaging.
Wow!! I’m QUITE impressed. With a 1000 new lippies out there, Pretty Vulgar has launched 3 unique, hard-to-dupe colors and all rated A’s. Very impressive! Eyeing Made with Mischief
It’s a nice formula! I was pleasantly surprised to find they weren’t the trendy type of liquid lipstick (which we have seen so often!).
I think the brand name is a big ol’ eye roll but these are beautiful! Glad these are permanent cuz I’m on a no-buy for lippies
They’re nice to see – I feel like there aren’t too many formulas like these yet!
Simply gorgeous on you, Christine!!
Thank you, Helen!
I’m liking Made with Mischief and Artful Deception, they’re really pretty especially Artful Deception with that pearl in it.
The finish is lovely for Artful Deception!
These shades are all so pretty, but I hate that long lipgloss feel these days so for only the formula reason these are a pass but these look SOOOO much better than the Lancome ones in the same formula family.
Aww, bummer!
Now I’m honestly wondering if this stuff is private label, like Pixi is rumored to be. So far the products look solid but this company seems to have come out of nowhere.
They are owned by the same company as Blinc – so they have been in beauty before.
I was wondering, who is supposed to own Pixi?
I’m so happy Made with Mischief reviewed so well. The color is gorgeous!
Woohoo! 🙂
Wow!!! Loving the first and the last!! Never heard of the line, but I will hunt these down!
Happy to hear it, Lisa!
These are just gorgeous shades and I hope the brand releases them in lipstick format – the peachy coral one is perfect for summer.
Interesting colours, just a shame metallic lips don’t suit me, I think it’s because my lips are quite pink. I had to sell my CP Flitter and 3- Way ? although I loved the colours in the tube and on my hand they just looked wrong on me! Weenie was fine though. Think I could get away with wearing Made with Mischief though. My Lips Are Sealed does look very nice on you especially with the eye look from one of the palettes.
Artful Deception and Made with Mischief have gone on my wishlist.
It’s not my kind of finish but these look so pretty! Artful deception in particular looks so unique with the different coloured pearls.
These are gorgeous! Do you think it would be possible to blot them down without losing too much of the pigment/pretty finish? I much prefer a more satin lipstick over glosses or very creamy formulas and wouldn’t want to wait a few hours for the glossiness to die down a bit.
I think you could blot and still get plenty of pigment, but the finish will be the one that gets muted the most!
Love them all! SOOOO nice!
I love the first two, must try!
