Formula Overview
$30.00/0.13 oz. - $230.77 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "medium buildable coverage" with a "satin shine finish" that is "comfortable" and "weightless." The texture was lightweight, on the thinner side but had good glide that it didn't feel clingy and seemed to be fairly forgiving of lip texture and imperfections. The coverage was more semi-opaque to opaque than true medium. They wore for four to six hours, depending on the richness of the shade.
Also worth pointing out: the price drop (from $38 to $28) reflects a change in the packaging, primarily felt in the cap, which is now a much thinner and lighter-weight plastic (reminiscent of the brand's mini lipsticks).

Even though Night Kiss is very similar to some of my existing lipsticks, all of those are mattes. This reminds me of Clinique Black Honey in that it is quite dark in the tube, but applies as a much more translucent, lighter MLBB shades, if that makes sense.
Thought for sure that I was going to get Crimson Ecstacy until I did a side-by-side comparison to MAC Lady Danger and YSL Scout’s Red. Just way too much alike for me to go ahead and get Crimson Ecstacy.
Night Kiss looks totally different than looks on the lips. Glad I didn’t blind buy it thinking I’d get a deep plum/mauve.
‘Washed out’ – that was the phrase I was looking for yesterday when you reviewed the first two lipsticks of Pat’s Satin Allure lipsticks. And yes, the first one is very washed out! Crimson Ecstasy looks a little more pigmented on the lips, but I am still not sold on them.
