Pat McGrath Femmebot, Polaroid Pink, Faux Pas MatteTrance Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Femmebot
Pat McGrath Femmebot MatteTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque, while the color applied evenly onto my lips and never tugged during application. The texture was lightweight, velvety, and not too thick or too thin, so it was comfortable on my lips, though I noticed that there was a touch of color in my deeper lip lines upon initial application with this shade. It wore well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.14 oz. - $271.43 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be “richly pigmented” with “”supreme hydration” and “opulent matte opacity.” The consistency was smooth, velvety, and dense without being too firm for one-stroke, glide-on application (I found the original shades to be slightly firmer compared to more newly released shades). They had nearly opaque to opaque coverage in one layer and most were buildable.
They had a subtle sheen--more satin-to-cream in finish--that wore down to a natural matte finish within an hour or two of wear. The formula lasted between four and eight hours on me, and while most weren't drying, they aren't "supreme[ly" hydrating either. They are, however, comfortable to wear over a longer period of time and reapply well. There was no discernible scent or taste to the formula.

Polaroid Pink
Pat McGrath Polaroid Pink MatteTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single stroke, which went on evenly and smoothly on my lips and never tugged or dragged during application. There was a bit of color that pulled into my lip lines, though. The consistency was lightweight, velvety, and smooth, which made it comfortable to wear over the six hours it lasted for. The formula was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

I picked up Polaroid Pink and it wouldn’t be my favourite shade on me Dommage. It’s a beautiful lipstick and I’m sure I will get use this summer, but It doesn’t have the starring role from my 3 picks of the new Mattetrance shades.
I love Femmebot but the price of one of her lipstick is the price of higher-end foundation or an eyeshadow palette……
I just don’t get it, if the quality was there is it really $52CAN per lipstick value or is this like 60% markup for her brand, this is annoying me not being able to test it out yet in person. lol
I’ve fallen down that rabbit hole. Oh dear! Each one of the three reviewed appeals to me just a little too much? PMG did an almost too good job on these. And all 3 landed guess where?!?
Polaroid Pink is the biggest surprise for me, though. Such an old-school Nicki Minaj-esque shade, but perfect since I missed out on her VG shade of 5 or 6 years ago!
The up-close photo of the lipstick reflects a really intriguing texture. It reminded me of a rough texture, I can’t think of what it’s called But these look hands down awesome!
Polaroid Pink is a color I would never normally reach for, but that is so vibrant and pretty and nothing like anything I own… sorely tempted to pick it up… btw, this eye look is so beautiful and looks lovely on you Christine!
Breaking my heart here.
The pinks are tempting – very pretty
