NARS Wanted Vol. I NARSissist Cheek Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Wanted Vol I
NARS Wanted Vol I Wanted Cheek Palette ($59.00 for 0.78 oz.) is a new, limited edition cheek palette that features six shades ranging from shimmery peach to soft lavender to rich coral. I would consider it a warm-toned palette, though, and the shades skew more light to light-medium in depth (Vol. II is richer and deeper across the board). Two of the matte shades darkened noticeably on me and even a bit more as the day went along, which may or may not be an issue for some. To combat that, I’d powder lightly prior to applying blush and then setting afterward, and I do find that helps mitigate a lot of darkening with more matte shades. Most of the shades were pigmented, wore seven to eight hours, and were fairly blendable.

Unlimited
Unlimited is a light-medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a frosted finish. The texture was a little drier and more prone to sheering out, but if you’re someone who likes a more buildable highlighter, then I’m sure it would work just fine for that purpose. It had medium coverage, which was buildable to mostly opaque coverage with to to three layers. This shade lasted for eight hours on me.

From NARS’ website, their blush formula is described as “beautifully pigmented” and “soft [and] blendable.” NARS' blushes, since they've been released in such a massive range of shades over the years, can vary from shade to shade to some degree. Most shades are pigmented with firmer, slightly stiffer consistencies that can also run on the thinner side, which allows greater control when picking up product but some of the more matte shades could be a bit more blendable or easier to work with.
Some of the more newly-released shades have softer, more yielding textures that are a bit creamier and are easier to blend out, though most of NARS' blushes are fairly blendable. The wear typically ranges from eight to nine hours with a few shades falling above or below this range.

Buzzed
Buzzed is a muted, medium peach with a hint of pink paired with a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that did deepen as it sat on my face (by at least one, if not two, steps). The powder was soft to the touch but was a little thin, and I have found that thinner, more matte finish powders can darken on the skin, particularly if one is oilier or applying over cream or liquid foundation that hasn’t yet been set. To minimize darkening, try powdering the cheeks prior to application. On its own, it wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Notorious
Notorious is a soft, pinky lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was slightly powdery in the pan, but it applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin. The blush showed up just barely on my skin tone, though I found use for it as a way to add coolness to other shades or soften the edges of other cooler pink/berry/plum-hued blushes. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.

Kingpin
Kingpin is a medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The blush was richly pigmented with a soft, slightly powdery consistency, but it didn’t seem too thin nor was it too dense or thick in the pan. It still darkened a bit when applied to my cheeks within a few minutes of wear, and at the end of the day, it seemed to be even darker yet. I didn’t have any issues applying or blending out the blush on my cheeks. The blush stayed on well for eight and a half hours on me.

Bumpy Ride
Bumpy Ride is a light-medium pink with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had good pigmentation with a soft, somewhat powdery consistency that blended out nicely on the skin. This shade lasted well for seven and a half hours on me before fading noticeably. It appeared a bit lighter on me than the single I have of the same shade.

Crave
Crave is a bright, deep coral-red with warm undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, while the texture was soft and quite blendable, which is an absolute necessity with such a rich shade. I applied it using a fan brush, and the color went on evenly and diffused well along the edges without losing the actual color and undertone. The blush wore well for nine hours on me.

Thank you for mentioning that some of the shades darkened during the day. I’m very fair and I feel the dupes might work better for me than this palette.
I have never bought a cheek palette before, but five out of the six shades appeal to me in this one, which is surprising to me. (Crave would look scary on me!!)
But I’m not going to buy it because I have too many single blushes that I need to use up first. Too bad it’s LE because it might have been something I’d want in the future.
UGH, WHY CANT THEY JUST NOT TEST ON ANIMALS?
I know – it’s so frustrating!
Man, Crave and Kingpin are calling my name! I’m on a low buy so I’ll probably pass but dang.
These are nice spring colors, but the palette looks so dry.
Why does blush make me go weak in the knees? I own every color in here five times over, but I still want it!
Very pretty. Very tempting. Maybe I’ll grab it during the Spring sale at Sephora.
All but one shade might work on me; I have to check in-store. Quite something as I’ve never seen a cheek palette that I think I could use. Then it depends on timing; I have a lot of blushes to use up, but maybe the whim strike.
I love the look of this but I feel like I have enough cheek products to last me years… still salivating over this though.
Surprisingly, I really like this one! Probably because a few of the shades darken once applied to the cheeks, because I originally thought these would run far too light. The pale lavender even has a unique purpose that you put out there; to cool down another shade if using this shade on its own wouldn’t show up on us!
Ya, but you know the bolder one is more your speed, if not massively duped….
I think this is an absolutely beautiful blush palette.
I don’t know if I would use all the shades in this palette, but I just love the way this palette looks!
