Melt Cosmetics Earth Bad Side Zodiac Eyeshadow Palette ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) released earlier this month as an eight-shade color story that had a mix of gold and orange with a pop of deep green and burgundy. The matte formula actually seemed less dense/intense compared to Melt’s normal matte formula, but they were easier to control and build up. The shimmers were also less firmly-pressed than I’d typically associate with Melt, which made them improved.

I just wanted to say that there’s a typo in the product description title in bold. It’s Zodiac, of course.
I am heart-broken that the one color I was really interested in, STUBBORN, earned a D. I looked at the suggested dupes and I think Harlowe is the closest, but it might be a 90%. The others are yellowed beiges, to me.
Which brings me to the question how do sort the golden browns from the red browns or the purple browns?

Generally I think this is a lovely autumn leaning palette, with only one true dud. I like the colour story and Materalistic is a divine brown shade.
While I do not subscribe to astrology, and even if I did, I wouldn’t fall into the “earth” category, I really like this selection of warm, autumnal shades! They really upped their game with these!
