ColourPop Trouble Maker 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.3 oz.) is a new, limited edition cooler-toned color story that featured a mix of taupe, mauve, and pink. There were six mattes paired with six shimmers. The quality of the shimmers was less impressive as multiple shades were overly emollient and thinner, so they tended to apply a bit unevenly unless applied with fingertips. The mattes were more consistent with the brand’s formula, so a bit on the powdery side but blendable and fairly pigmented.

Even though I can see myself getting one or two really cool looking dusky purple looks out of this, I’m just not quite impressed enough to buy it. Besides, I think Huda did it better with her Rose Quartz palette!
I like this one a lot. I think I would get good use out of it, but I need to put the brakes on makeup purchases for awhile.
I ordered this before waiting for the review because I loved the color story. I don’t mind using my fingers with the shimmers, but usually CP does very nice shimmers, so I’m surprised to see such low grades. Hopefully, fingers and some glitter glue will keep things in place!
A very different colour story here from CP – quite muted with its greys and burgundy shades. Not quite my preference, but I think it is an interesting one.

It’s very frustrating that they got so close to a fully cool toned palette here and still had to sneak in warms. Just…Why?? For once I’d love to be able to buy a palette and not throw any colours away because they’re too warm and make me look dead, it’s really so wasteful. 🙁

Same with Fox and Fame. Many times their version of cool is a baby step cooler than the neutral of the same basic shade. It is a disappointment, but I might spring anyway. I like the story and it’s wearable for the older crowd.

I’ve been thinking about this palette since it launched. I like so many of the (cool) shades in it. It’s a pity the shimmers are a bit disappointing, but I think I can work with them anyway.
This is a possible purchase for me, not a huge investment, and I’d get some nice cool taupe and grey shades, I have been loving greys for quite some time now, maybe a reaction after all the reds we’ve seen for so long now,
This color story is so “me” that I ordered this before the review came out. I’m still glad I ordered it because my favorite shimmers and the mattes reviewed nicely. However, my pinky finger-not my favorite makeup applicator-is on alert that it will have some work to do with the other shimmers!
Cold Heart is disappointing since it simply looks black in the swatch.
