Marc Jacobs Willful Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “vibrant deep orchid.” It’s a bold, bright, medium magenta purple with cool undertones and a satin finish. The coverage was mostly opaque, while the consistency was creamy, comfortable to apply, and had more slip than some past iterations I’ve tried in this formula–to that end, it seemed more prone to settling into the lip lines after four hours of wear. It didn’t make it to the 10-hour wear time claimed, but it lasted for six hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. Bite Beauty Orchid (LE, $24.00) is cooler (95% similar). ColourPop Hi Suppose (P, $7.00) is darker (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Loulou (LE, $36.00) is lighter (95% similar). Bite Beauty #007 (LE, $36.00) is lighter (95% similar). Maybelline Brazen Berry (DC, $7.99) is more muted, glossier (95% similar). NARS Angela (P, $34.00) is lighter (85% similar). Bite Beauty Dragonfruit (DC, $26.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Night Blooming (LE, $19.00) is darker, glossier (90% similar). Tarte Surfer Girl (P, $22.00) is lighter (90% similar). Smashbox Tabloid (P, $21.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). MAC Dear Diary (LE, $18.00) is darker (90% similar). Bite Beauty Stir (DC, $24.00) is darker, glossier (90% similar). MAC Doo Wop (LE, $19.00) is lighter (90% similar). Urban Decay Bittersweet (DC, $22.00) is more muted (90% similar). Bite Beauty Grape (LE, $24.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). MAC Have Your Cake (LE, $19.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). MAC Seductive Intent (LE, $19.00) is darker (85% similar). NARS Silvia (P, $34.00) is darker, warmer, glossier (85% similar). Makeup Geek Prankster (P, $12.00) is darker, more muted, glossier (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Letitia (LE, $36.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. Marc Jacobs Editrix Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “deep oxblood.” It’s a dark, brownish burgundy with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage where there was a slight translucency that allowed the natural lip color to come through. This shade also had more slip than past shades I have tried from this formula, which made it more comfortable to wear as it wasn’t drying, but it did slide around more and some color gathered in lip lines as the color wore on. This shade wore for six and a half hours. Make Up For Ever Magnetic Brown (122) (P, $23.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Too Faced Indecent Proposal (P, $22.00) is darker (95% similar). MAC Turn to the Left (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, lighter, less glossy (95% similar). Makeup by Mario Nicole (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, lighter, less glossy (95% similar). Too Faced Chocolate Cherries (P, $21.00) is darker (95% similar). MAC Lingering Kiss (LE, $19.00) is lighter (95% similar). Maybelline Chocoholic (DC, $7.49) is cooler (95% similar). Tarte Frenemy (P, $20.00) is darker, cooler (95% similar). Makeup Geek Witty (P, $15.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Chestnut (P, $19.00) is warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Disturbed (DC, $18.00) is darker (90% similar). ColourPop Prim (P, $7.00) is darker, cooler, less glossy (90% similar). Bite Beauty #011 (LE, $36.00) is warmer (90% similar). Pat McGrath She's So Deep (LE, $40.00) is warmer (90% similar). Smashbox Caffeinate (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). NARS Aya (LE, $34.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Living Legend (LE, $19.00) is darker, less glossy (90% similar). Laura Mercier Chocolat Divin (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). Tarte Shades (P, $21.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Paramour (LE, $7.00) is darker, less glossy (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Creme ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) claims 10-hour wear with “vivid pigment” and a “rich, velvety” texture that is “ultra-hydrating.” As you might expect, they don’t last ten hours; they last four to six hours with some leaving a stain. The texture is lightweight, creamy, and glides on without dragging or tugging on the lip, but it doesn’t have a lot of slip so it stays in place. The formula isn’t hydrating, and it can be drying, depending on the shade. The lipstick had a sweet, floral scent, but it was very subtle, even when smelled directly from the tube.

I have better-performing dupes in my stash (MAC Have Your Cake, Too Faced Chocolate Cherries, BITE #11) , but I feel like MJ can do better than this.

Even though both look great on you, I’m not buying either one. Not with me having some wonderful near dupes,ie; MAC Deep Love, and Colourpop Prim on my wishlist! And Maybelline Orchid Ecstasy (my darker lips make that go from a C+ to a B+), Colourpop Molly is on my next CP order, so with Prim and Molly, I know I’ll get closer to that insane 10 hr. claim than with these!

These definitely look better than others in the formula! I got the mini of KissKiss BangBang with this year’s Sephora birthday gift…the texture of it was just AWFUL on my dry lips…but the color is so pretty! I realize you probably have 50 bajillion products to review, but if you have a chance to review it, or even swatch it for dupe purposes, that would be so awesome…our skin tones are so different, I find I’m always waaaay off when I try to just eyeball it!

hmmm I’m disappointed that they perform so terribly for the price. I honestly thought they would be superb looking at your swatches 🙁 UD Matte Revolution Backtalk is discontinued or not sold where I live so I thought the Marc Jacobs Slowburn would be a fantastic dupe…giving it a second thought now…
