Marc Jacobs Beauty P(r)each & One Mauve Time Enamored Hydrating Lip Glosses Reviews, Photos, Swatches
P(r)each
Marc Jacobs Beauty P(r)each Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a light-medium, peachy-coral with warm, orange undertones and a glossy, pearly sheen. It had sheer coverage that applied fairly evenly with minimal settling in my lip lines (but there was some). The texture was lightweight, creamy with a moderate amount of slip, which made it easy to apply, but I could easily over-apply this if I wasn’t paying attention as a result. The lipstick felt like it was melting against my lips almost immediately–just to give an idea of how soft it can feel. It wore well for two and a half hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$29.00/0.074 oz. - $391.89 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "the shine of a gloss" with the "nourishing" prowess of a "tinted lip balm" paired with a "mint scent." They have a very soft, creamy texture that has a balm-lipstick feel to it but with a lot of slip, which makes them easy to over-apply as they skate across the lips like melting butter. The coverage ranged from sheer to semi-sheer with fairly even application, but sometimes product gathered in my lip lines. It had a glossy finish that helped minimize the appearance of the product settling in my lip lines from afar. They were hydrating and comfortable to wear, but they only lasted between two and four hours on me. They were mint scented but I didn't notice any taste.

One Mauve Time
Marc Jacobs Beauty One Mauve Time Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a soft, medium mauve with subtle, cool undertones and fine pearl. It had medium coverage, which was more coverage than I anticipated based on the brand’s description, though I could see many enjoying this level of coverage as it still had that balm-like, emollient feel of the formula. The consistency was very creamy and lightweight, so it glided across my lips with ease. The color stayed on well for four hours and was moisturizing over time.

I love One Mauve Time! But I have to go on a no-buy for awhile, and I can’t justify buying another mauve shade. Tempting, though.
These are really pretty and seem like a step up from Dior Glow
Since I do have Nick’s Nude and P(r)each seems way too sheer, that one is an easy pass.
On the other hand, One Mauve Time is perfect! Especially during winter when I go for some nice mauvey shades, plus love balmy lipsticks more then than during summer.
I have Black Cherry and I rather like it. Its shimmery and sheer and plummy. It is lightweight and not too waxy feeling I do not like the no retract thing but they only twist up a tiny bit at a time. I think I really want the Candy Big shade next. Awaiting your next review!
Sorry. Candy Bling.
I have One Mauve time (that swatch is not even close–it’s a true, very cool, slightly brownish mauve, not at all pink) and Candy Bling (a beautiful cool-to-neutral raspberry–not nearly as bright as it looks online) and really like them. They’re a cross between Fresh’s tinted balms and Chantecaille’s Lip Chics, and the quality is superb. Bulky packaging, but great product and worth every penny. I don’t know if there are more shades that would suit me, but if there are, I would buy another. They work great over other lipsticks, too.
I double checked my swatch, and this is about as close as I can get (looking at my monitor + iPhone screen) compared to what I see in person. It’s definitely not brown to my eye, though!
Those shades look pretty good, especially the Mauve one – which would be handy in winter.
That mauve is gorgeous!!!
