Marc Jacobs Beauty Fall 2019 O!Mega Gel Powder Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Moment-o (590)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Momento-o (590) O!Mega Gel Powder Eyeshadow ($29.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a muted, medium taupe with cooler, purplish undertones and a matte finish. It had an incredibly smooth, silky texture that was slightly powdery in the pan, but the product applied beautifully to bare skin and blended out effortlessly. The color sheered out slightly from its initial opaque coverage, but the actual powder seemed to “melt” a bit on my skin for a velvety look. It wore well for eight and half hours, which was a solid wear time (without a primer), but the formula was marketed as having 12-hour wear.

Formula Overview
$29.00/0.13 oz. - $223.08 Per Ounce
The formula promises "12 hours" of wear with "high-impact, crease-resistant color." The matte shades were very smooth and finely-milled that they felt almost cream-like, though they were definitely a powder. They were pigmented and most shades blended out easily over bare skin with eight to nine hour wear. The shimmery shades were creamier, a bit more silicone-like by touch, but they weren't too dense or too thick, so they didn't emphasize my lid texture and still applied well with brushes. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me and were typically quite pigmented.

O Boy (600)
Marc Jacobs Beauty O Boy (600) O!Mega Gel Powder Eyeshadow ($29.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a muted, light brown with slightly warm, olive undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin without sheering out too readily. The consistency was silky-smooth, velvety and substantial but not prone to fallout (though a little powdery in the pan). I noticed slight fading after eight and a half hours of wear.

LELimited Edition. $29.00.
O Snap (610)
Marc Jacobs Beauty O Snap (610) O!Mega Gel Powder Eyeshadow ($29.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep, charcoal brown with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had an incredibly smooth, silk-like texture that was dense without being thick or too firmly-pressed in the pan, so it blended out with ease on my skin but retained its full opacity and intensity. The color lasted well for eight and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.

Moment O is a green-eyed ( or blue-green) person’s BFF eye color! I’m sure I have something like it around here… probably in my Smashbox Punked Covershot palette? Or maybe not!
You read my mind. I was looking at Moment-O and literally going oooooooh. It’s also a cool-toned gal’s friend too. I might have to grab this, I’m thinking it might even work as a contour powder too.
This shade has my name written all over it! But I feel like I must have something similar already. I thought Smashbox Punked, too, but looking at that palette, I don’t think there’s anything like Moment-O. In any case, I don’t need to spend $29 on one shade.
I can’t believe they released a matte brown eyeshadow as a limited edition single.
I have 2 of these shadows from the original launch (BravO and O Yeah) and I love them – the texture and pigmentation are so lush. I the look of them, especially O Snap, but I have a dupe in KvD Saleos so I’ll pass on these – the pans are large but that’s reflected in the price and I just don’t need that much product.
They really are lovely in texture – lush is a great descriptor! So smooth and silky but not…. dry at all. But I totally agree on the size; I don’t know why they wanted to pursue being the “biggest” single eyeshadow on the market!
Yes indeed – the word “gel” in the name really does convey what the texture is like. And another “indeed” about the size of the pans….I love Brav-O (I got it because you had it listed as a dupe for Casterly Rock, which I like so much) but cannot realistically see myself ever getting close to hitting pan on it!
Nice Autumn colors!
The two brown shades are quite sumptuous and would be perfect for those matte lovers. I thought the taupe shade looked really patchy, but it seemed to work well once applied.
Moment-O 🙂 I just love a gorgeous matte taupey-purple! It’s true, these shadows are way larger than they need to be, but they are very nice.
I so wish Moment-O would have scored higher. It’s definitely the kind of shade I would indulge in for a single, but not at this opacity. Also, I didn’t care for the other gel powder shadow by MJ which I purchased this spring.
I rarely buy single shadows but I love MJB and I love the colors so I bought Moment-O as soon as Sephora got it (it was on the MJB site prior). I have two from the original launch (Dynam-O and O-Mercy), and I have Smoke, Rose and Violet from the Runway collection which, although those didn’t perform as well as the originals, I still enjoy. In fact, I have repurposed Rose and Violet as blushes and they work very well in that capacity.
