Makeup Geek Spell Bound Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Makeup Geek Spell Bound Blush
Makeup Geek Spell Bound Blush ($9.99 for 0.15 oz. pan; $12.99 for 0.15 oz. compact) is described as a “light tan with salmon undertones.” It’s a muted, medium, rosy pink with a soft, pearly sheen. MAC Cheeky Bugger (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery. NARS Love (LE, $29.00) is darker. Urban Decay Overexposed (LE) is less shimmery. NYX Mauve (P, $5.00) is cooler-toned, less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The consistency of the powder was soft, smooth, and buttery, which made this blush easy to apply, because it was very blendable and applied evenly. It just didn’t take a lot of work to use, and it’s a more foolproof blush that I could see becoming someone’s go-to for everyday wear. It has a satiny finish that gets more luminous as it is sheered out and blended into the skin, but the shimmer never emphasizes pores. It had good, true-to-pan color payoff, and the color wore well for eight and a half hours before fading.

Once again, an undeniably pretty blush is somewhat upstaged by your awesome earrings, LOL!
I really need to try Makeup Geek at some point! I see so many nice things from them here 😀
You should! 🙂 And their international shipping rates are totally reasonable.
This one is really lovely and looks so smooth on your skin <3 Love it!
Thank you! 🙂
This blush is so easy to wear; soft, subtle, PERFECT! And I like the MUG formula far more than Mac especially in paler blush tones such as these where less than stellar payoff really shows.
I love how soft but not powdery the formula is, so they practically blend themselves as you apply.
I have this and I love it!
Yay!!
I love it! It’s the prefect blend of color!
It is very easy to wear!
Hurray, the last shade I was waiting for and it’s definitely going on the list!
Woohoo!
I love that Marc Jacobs liner on you! I need it!
Thank you, Fancie!
Christine, thanks again for all your hard work and dedication. I bought Bliss and Love Affair based in your reviews. I bought Spellbound before you had an opportunity to review and I do not regret it. I am so in Love with MUG blushes. I am looking forward to purchasing a few others.
Happy to help, Monica! Thrilled you’re loving the blushes, too!
I still haven’t bought one of the Makeup Geek blushes. I adore the look of Spellbound, and it looks fabulous on you. I just can’t decide which one among so many pretty peachy shades!
It is hard to pick just one!
I will have to go check MUG site again, soon. I guess most of the blushes is sold out, but I can always put myself on e-mail alert for when they come back in stock.
This is such a lovely shade. Radiant. At least on you, Christine. I also love the earrings!
I really hope they’ll be able to restock soon!
Thank you!
I wonder if I can get Makeup Geek in Aus. They have such great shades!
Yes, you can!
This was my fave out of all of them… And out of stock when I ordered! 🙁
Awww! 🙁
I love this shade and great review! Do they fit into the MAC Pro Palette blush/face inserts?
Yes!
