Make Up For Ever Brazen Pink (154) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warmer undertones and a satin finish. The lipstick had a lightweight consistency that was thin, though not clingy, with more of a velvety glide than really wet, creamy feel. In spite of the more velvety feel, though, it was visible streaky along the edges and was more prone to clumping around imperfections. It had mostly opaque coverage that stayed on decently for four hours and felt non-drying.

The formula is supposed to "blur, smooth, and hydrate" with "intensity of a matte and the comfort of a cream" and delivers "ultra-pigment[ation]." The consistency reminded me of the more new-school "matte" formulas that feel velvety without wetness/shine--the ones that feel more silicone-heavy and primer-like, which are often thinner, too. I'd say that the new Rouge Artist formula has a little more traditional creaminess, so there was a satin shine (which was as marketed--satin finish!).
The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and thin without feeling clingy. In the close-up photos, there were several shades that looked like there were little bits scattered on my lips, almost like it had pilled, though I didn't feel it when I pressed my lips together and couldn't see it in person.
They had mostly opaque to opaque color coverage in a single layer. Most shades applied evenly and sat well enough on my lips, though there were some that emphasized my lip lines slightly. They wore for four to six hours on me with some of the very rich, deeper shades lasting a little longer than that. The formula felt mostly non-drying to lightly hydrating to me.
There was a sweet, slightly floral scent that was noticeable on for the first few minutes, but I didn't notice any taste.

Make Up For Ever Spirited Pink (200) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered fairly evenly to my lips, but it had a little streaking along the edges (and this wasn’t something that I experienced with all shades).
The texture felt smooth, more velvety and lightweight without being too thick or too thin, but wasn’t the most flattering to wear overall. It wore nicely for four and a half hours and felt lightly moisturizing.

Make Up For Ever Edgy Marmalade (306) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a bright, neon pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had medium color coverage, which was a little buildable, but it mostly just pushed around and looked more uneven as I tried to apply more.
The texture felt lightweight, thinner but not clingy, and had some slip–nothing felt amiss–but it did not apply well and emphasized imperfections. The color stayed on well for five hours, left a faint stain behind, and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Because I love the actual color of Edgy Marmalade, but without its C+ inducing issues, I sure am glad to have both MAC Mittai Pink and even better, Heart Goes Boom.
Gosh – MUFE’s lipsticks have really fallen down the black hole! I mean the one thing you do want about a lipstick is for it to apply easily and evenly, that’s a fairly basic requirement. The brand goes to all the trouble to make a fancy lipstick shape, but doesn’t really check the formula is right is a sign that the brand is in difficulties.
