Make Up For Ever 1 Frozen Silver Star Lit Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
1 Frozen Silver
Make Up For Ever 1 Frozen Silver Star Lit Powder ($21.00 for 0.02 oz.) is a light, bright silver with cooler undertones and a frosted sheen. I’m not entirely sure why they went with the “Frozen” label here, as all of the other “Frozen” shades were duochromes but this one wasn’t. It does, though, brighten well as it was lighter and brighter in hue. It had semi-sheer coverage applied dry, which was buildable to semi-opaque coverage, and then opaque coverage when applied with a dampened brush (just using water). The consistency was soft, blendable, and easy to work with on the skin and did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. This shade wore well for eight hours on me.
The Star Lit Powders can be used to “highlight eyes, lips and cheeks” with an “ultra-fine loose powder” that can be used “wet or dry to customize coverage intensity and luminosity.” While checking the weight on these, I noticed that the weight differs from shade to shade; this one had a mere 0.02 oz. while others ranged from 0.03 oz. to 0.09 oz. I also noticed that it appears the brand identifies what area you can use a shade on by listing an icon on the back of the jar in the shape of a pair of lips, an eyeball, and then a face (presumably for cheeks).

This is the first one of these to catch my attention. I can see using this on my eyes, or on my cheekbones used very sparingly. I guess I’m just not a huge fan of the duochrome highlighters. But this one looks like something I could like.
It would work well on the eyes for brightening or with a smoky eye!
Love the colour range extension! MUFE makes some really solid stuff!
They do!
Pretty!
Agreed 🙂
I’m blown away by how good this one looks as a cheek highlighter?!? Such a peculiar shade for cheeks, but it truly WORKS! I may just really need this one for a brightening tear duct and oddly enough, cheekbone highlight!
I don’t know why but it looks kind of dirty on the face to me.
