Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush
Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as “tangerine.” It’s a brightened, medium orange with warm, red undertones and a satin finish. YSL Corail Affranchi (07) (P, $40.00) is more muted. YSL Orange Fougueux (04) (P, $40.00) is redder. Maybelline Coral Burst (LE, $5.99) is powder. NARS Taj Mahal (P, $29.00) is lighter, shimmery, powder. NARS Rotonde (LE, $41.00) is lighter, powder, matte. MAC Optimistic Orange (LE, $21.00) is redder. Inglot #45 Face Blush (P, $10.00) is powder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The HD Blush formula is a soft, creamy, lightweight, and extremely blendable. You need that blendability because it is also a highly pigmented formula, but it can easily be applied with a light hand for sheer color or built up for true-to-pan color. The texture feels creamy initially but dries down to a powder as you apply and blend it into the skin, but the powder dry down is still blendable, so you never feel like you have to hurry. #515 wore well for nine hours on me before starting to fade slightly. This is the last shade I had to review, and you can read all my past reviews for other shades here.

After some recent bad experiences with pink colored blushes, I’ve been super attracted to peach or orange ones! I think I’m definitely going to have to check this one out to see if it looks nice on me. Thanks for the review and swatch, I love it!
Let me know if you end up trying it, Etoile!
Could it be use on lips too?
It could be, but the texture dries to powder, so it’s mostly a cheek product, IMO.
It’s so… orange! Like pure pure orange! But it looks great on you.
Thank you!
This is such hot vibrant orange! Looks amazing on you! I go for a more “natural” look for cheeks.. so orange isn’t something I’d pick!
Thank you, Divya 🙂
The colour is a bit “out there” for me but I agree – the formula of this HD blush range is absolute perfection – MUFE really nailed it and I LOVE the colour range 🙂
Right? They did an amazing job on this formula!
this was the only one I brought from this collection and I love it. I use it often, love the pigment and it wears well!
What lip color do you pair with it, Stephanie?
my fav!
Yay!
I want it!
It’s such a fun shade!
Gorgeous! Another must have for me from the range!!!!! 🙂
It will be lovely on your skin tone, Vineetha!
What dazzling shade it is and once again this warm n cool combination is looking perfection 🙂
Thank you 😀
Ooooh this looks so beautiful & you describe it so wonderfully I want to go out & buy it NOW!
xx
Aww, thanks Gauri!
Oh my goodness. I never would have touched this in stores, but it looks great on you!
It’s totally worth trying on before dismissing 😀
This is looks like perfect! I love the way it looks on you too!
Thank you, Fancie!
ahhh!! i just love this color! how do you think this compares to nars exhibit a?
Exhibit A is a lot redder!
I love that you used such a warm toned blusher with a cool toned lipstick. Looks lovely.I don’t think I’d even look twice at a blusher so orangey. You just showed I should.
Orange can be a really fun shade to wear 🙂
I’m very impressed with MUFE cream blushes!! Makes for a great starter cream blush for someone just getting into makeup as its perfectly goof proof. I’m very happy with the colors I have now but from seeing this shade in action now I really want it….and its completely sold out in my city.
Me too! It’s such a fab formula. Really easy to use, great quality, and not too pricey (relative to other options that are similar, e.g. Chanel and Illamasqua).
I absolutely love this blush!!! It sheers out so nicely, even though it is very bright in the pan!!
So glad you’re lovin’ it, Trina!
I just got this color about a week ago and I love it. It’s really great for ladies with darker skin tones . I like it more than Taj Mahal because it doesn’t have shimmer in it.
I agree – perfect for darker complexions!
Whoa, this is DYNAMITE! I can’t conceive of a universe in which I could make it work on my cool vampire skin, but a secret part of me wants to try. Or maybe just own the thing and stare into its orange awesomeness… 😀
If you ever get the chance to try an orange in store, you should at least do that 😉
Whoa! I can see why this got an A+, it looks so amazing! I’ll wear pretty much any blush colour in existence; however to my unending frustration, orange just doesn’t suit me. Looks super slamming on you though 🙂
Aww, which oranges have you tried and not liked, Crystal?
I actually went so far as to buy Nars Gina, which I liked in theory, but every time I put it on I’m like “nope” and I have to put a bit of a different colour blush over top. It just looks a little *too* unnatural on me, I guess!
That’s a really cool colour! I love that products that are more “out there” in colour exist. You prove that even a pretty unnatural colour like orange for the cheeks (who blushes orange?) can look great! 🙂
Thanks, Candice!
HOLY PIGMENT! Too warm for me but if I had your complexion I’d wear this all summer!
It’s so pigmented!
perfection in a pan.. Sigh… I love it..
Do you think you’ll put it on your wish list, ZG?
Wow!! Not my kind of colour, but it’s great to see such an ORANGE orange from a pro-oriented brand! 🙂
I’m so glad they did one!
Hi Christine! Beautiful color! I was wondering what brush you used to apply it? Thanks!
I really like MAC’s 159!
