MamaStarrr
MAC MamaStarrr Lipglass ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had a smooth, moderately tacky texture that was fairly easy to spread across the lips. The pigmentation was good–not quite opaque–and applied with very minimal streaking, though there was some color that gathered into my lip lines. It wore well for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$21.00/0.1 oz. - $210.00 Per Ounce
The Lipglass formula is supposed to be “pigmented, very shiny and can impart subtle or dramatic color” that can be worn “on its own, over lip pencil or lipstick” and will “condition lips.” MAC could use an update on the description as some shades are more pigmented than others but several are sheerer and likely intended to be that way. The formula has a very glossy, high-shine finish with a light-medium weight and moderate tackiness.
I have found that newer Lipglasses (over the last couple of years) are smoother and not quite as tacky as the formula was many years ago. They wear from three to six hours on me and are usually lightly hydrating. MAC recently updated the shade range and packaging for the range (though the formula was said to be unchanged), so worth noting is that with that packaging change came a reduction in quantity to 0.10 fl. oz. (was 0.17 fl. oz.), which may matter for some but not everyone.

Patrick Woo
MAC Patrick Woo Lipglass ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark cherry red with cool, blue undertones and a jelly-like finish. The texture was incredibly smooth and didn’t seem quite as thick as most Lipglasses, though it was still sticky overall. It had good color coverage in a single layer and applied evenly without emphasizing my lip lines. The gloss lasted for five and a half hours on me and was moisturizing while worn.

Sooo….I am now smitten with Patrick Woo and Mama Starrr. This is going to be a very tough call, because I do have Nyx Apple Crisp (forgot I even had it until I saw that it was in my vanity! ?) , and also have a few brownish pink glosses that aren’t true dupes, but I’m worried that one be for Mama Starrr? ?
I have a sneaky suspicion that I will wind up with one of the 2! ?
Mamastarrr is pretty!
I love the color of the lighter pink, but I wish it didn’t fall into the lines of the lips!
Patrick Woo looks like it would be stunning over a red lipstick.
The red lip gloss looks great!
MamaStarr is beautiful!
