MAC Teddy 2.0, Sheer Outrage, Brickthrough Powder Kiss Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Teddy 2.0
MAC Teddy 2.0 Powder Kiss Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a darker, peachyb eige with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that adhered well to my lips and glided across them smoothing as the texture was lightweight, thin, and velvety.
The lipstick sat decently on my lips but was a little more prone to emphasizing my natural lip texture, so you’ll definitely want to ensure you’ve properly exfoliated and I’d skip this shade if you have naturally drier lips (with cracking, flaking, or peeling). It wore decently for three hours and felt non-drying.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.1 oz. - $220.00 Per Ounce
MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.10 oz.) is supposed to feel "weightless" with a "blur of effortless soft-focus color." Per the brand, the formula "provides immediate and long-term hydration" while "blur[ring] lines and smooth[ing] lips" and having "zero-shine." They have a bit of shine and slip; I wouldn't call them zero-shine so much as very smooth and more like a natural or soft matte finish. Like any finish with slight shine, they did wear down to a more, flat matte finish within an hour or so of wear. The consistency was lightweight, thin, and velvety with a bit of slip (a little like a silicone primer to me) and was comfortable to wear with a non-drying to lightly hydrating feel.
The pigmentation ranged from semi-opaque to opaque with deeper shades having more coverage. There were a few very light shades, which did not apply as evenly and had a tendency to catch on any imperfections on my lips, whereas the deeper shades went on more smoothly and looked more flattering on as they were less likely to emphasize texture. They lasted between two and a half and six hours with deeper shades, unsurprisingly, lasting longer than the ultra-light ones.
I personally found the scent of these to be noticeably different, both that it was sweeter and less vanilla-based but I also got a strong rubber scent that came through. The scent did not linger for long, so it wasn't something that I detected throughout the wear, but it had a strong, sweet taste that was present until it was gone. Other readers who have smelled the formula in person did not catch any rubber/off-putting scent (my husband thought it smelled weird, not bad per se, but couldn't be more specific), and when I went back to double check each shade, each one of mine still had that rubbery note.

Sheer Outrage
MAC Sheer Outrage Powder Kiss Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a light-medium pink-coral with moderate, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had medium to semi-opaque color payoff that applied without streaking, but the texture was more prone to pilling and looked almost “crumbly” on my lips.
There was also some product that pulled into my lip lines, which became more apparent over time (in person). The lipstick felt lightweight, thin, and more velvety, much like other shades in the formula, but the way it sat on my lips was unflattering. This shade lasted for three and a half hours on me and felt neither drying nor hydrating.

Brickthrough
MAC Brickthrough Powder Kiss Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a muted, medium coral with moderate, warm undertones and leaned just barely pink paired with a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in one layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my natural texture.
The lipstick felt lightweight, thin, and velvety without being too clingy, though there was the smallest amount of product visible in my deeper lip lines in the photos, I didn’t notice it in person. It stayed on well for four hours and felt non-drying.

Can hardly wait till we can wear regular standard lipsticks out and about again, because I totally love Brickthrough! It’s just gorgeous.
I saw these colors and was wondering if they are the Powder Kiss versions of MAC’s other lipsticks — namely Velvet Teddy, See Sheer and Brick-o-la. The swatches look quite different so I’m guessing not. I actually like Teddy 2.0 and Brickthrough, but have yet to get a satisfactory feel or finish from the Powder Kiss lipsticks. They’re just this side of too dry for me.
Hmm…Teddy looks awfully pink. I have Teddy and every time I whip it out I’m surprised at how pink it is, but even still this looks pinker. And dry. I don’t find Mac’s matte formula drying in Teddy form (it is on some of my others though), but I need to apply some balm after looking at these.
Brickthrough seems to be the best performing lipstick of the bunch and it is a flattering shade of coral too.
