This year’s Viva Glam item is ‘Tis Noble to Give Viva Glam Lip Bag ($36.00), which includes full-sizes of Viva Glam V (lipstick) and Viva Glam V (lipglass), both described as a “neutral pink with pearl.” The set comes with a red-dominated tartan-patterened bag, the same as in the other Lip Bags (just a bit bigger than my hand).
- Viva Glam V (lipstick) is a pinky nude-brown with soft champagne shimmer. It’s semi-sheer on lips, and it’s incredibly flattering. This is the kind of shade that looks good on both warmer and cooler skin tones.
- Viva Glam V (lipglass) is a peachy nude with soft golden shimmer. It has a milky quality to it, and it’s not nearly as pink as its lipstick counterpart. This is warmer, but I don’t think it’s unduly warm that it wouldn’t work on cooler skin tones.

The consitency of the Lipgloss looks a little bit strange on the photo. What is it? It seems a bit stale?

hello, Thank you for all of your swatches and reviews. I noticed that most of the e/s that were swatched in this particular line didn’t have a good color payoff, which to me is disappointing considering it’s MAC. I recently heard that since Lancome or Estee Lauder (can’t remember which one or are they all the same) has taken over MAC that the company has tried to save money by putting more fillers in their eyeshadows. I was just wondering since you have a lot of knowledge of MAC have you found a decline in the quality of their eyeshadows as far as how pigmented they are?
Don’t get me wrong I still love MAC and will buy their products, but with more caution now, I was just kind of sad when I heard they added more filler. Thnx 🙂
I have only been into MAC since 2004, so I couldn’t say. Estee Lauder took control in the 90s.
I just ran out of this color lipstick, so this might be a good chance to repurchase! I wonder if the cost of the bag is included in the donation or just the value of the products?

i am sooo getting this one. i already have viva glam 4 and 6. i think i might get this one for my sister too for christmas. she was in mac w/ me at the unveiling event and was trying on a nude viva glam color and wanted to get it but the mac lady put the wrong one in her bag. i think is was the red/berry viva glam. but it worked out bc she actually liked the color.
The lipstick and lipglass are very pretty and I love the red bag, but I think they should’ve priced this a little lower. It’s terrific that all the money goes to the charity, but you’re paying a lot for a permanent lipstick and lipglass and a small bag. More people would be inclined to get this if it were maybe $32, instead.

I wish the lipstick was a little bit more nude. It looks so much more rosy on me. But I guess that’s probably because I have pretty pigmented lips to begin with.
