MAC Summer Sweetheart Lipglass Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie's Girls)

MAC Summer Sweetheart Lipglass ($16.50 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “light peach.” It’s exactly that: a pale, milky peach with a creamy consistency and look. MAC Peachstock is darker, more beige. MAC Orange Tempera is lighter, paler. MAC Ready or Not is more orange. NARS Odalisque is darker, more orange. MAC Woo Me is lighter.

It settles into lip lines, and it looks a little thick on the lips. It has fairly good opacity, though, as it is semi-opaque and covers most of my lip freckle. There is some translucency all around, so the natural lip color will come through and, depending on your natural lip color, may alter the resulting color. Despite it having a thicker, tackier consistency (but on par with MAC’s Lipglass formula), it only lasted two and a half hours on me. It was neither drying nor hydrating during the time I wore it.

Underscored. If you put it over Oh Oh OH…it transforms the lipstick… its very strange, but the color turnout is awesome. I never had the problem with the lipglass or any lipglass getting into the lines of my lips. Maybe everyone has different chemistry reactions with products. Interesting. Lasted very long on me when I wore it alone, only time I had to re-apply is when I ate something.

A MAC MUA put this on me over Stripdown lip liner. It looked pretty smokin’! But yeah, I did see that the color settled in my lip lines though. I did get Oh Oh Oh lipstick and tried this lip glass on like the previous reviewer suggested and it turned the lipstick into a pinkish neutral color. This look works great during the day. I might see how Summer Sweetheart lip glass looks on top of other colors since it seems to look better layered over lip colors.
