MAC Subtle Breeze Mineralize Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Subtle Breeze Mineralize Blush
MAC Naturally: Subtle Breeze Mineralize Blush
MAC Subtle Breeze Mineralize Blush ($22.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “blue-pink.” It’s a cool-toned, blue-based pink with a subtle pink glow. NYX English Rose is a bit lighter. Bobbi Brown Pretty Pink is less blue-based. MAC Briar Rose looks similar on cheeks, though a bit cooler-toned. Â Though it does lean cool, I found it very wearable on my warmer complexion. Â It has good color payoff without being too intense, so it’s buildable but workable without having to use a very light hand.
The texture is soft like silk without being powdery, so it’s easy to apply, extremely blendable, and the finish is incredibly natural and glowy. It’s not high-shine or lots of sheen and shimmer. I tested out Subtle Breeze from this collection for wear, and it lasted for around six hours before it started to look noticeably faded on my normal-to-dry skin. I’ve never had good luck with getting MAC’s mineralize products to wear all day on me, unfortunately.

I thought I wouldn’t like this collection, but I love it!!
So pretty on you! Will definitely check this one out :]
Gorgeous! How does this compare to the Chanel Horizon blush? I’m trying to find a more affordable alternative… Thinking I might just need to splurge!
Chanel is not blue-based and is warmer – looks more coral in comparison!
lovely!! How close is this to long discontinued Mineralize blush in Pleasantry?
Pleasantry is bluer-based!
i love this blush.. but i wonder if there is a big difference between mac’s fleur power and this one??
thank you christine!!
Fleur Power seems more yellow-based!
This is totally “my” sort of colour and I love MAC’s mineralized blushes. Oh dear – I just got a new MAC blush for Xmas from my son and now I’m craving this baby!
Is this similar to theBalms downboy?
I don’t think I have that!
How does it compare to Well Dressed? They look fairly similar to me but this might have more of a sheen.
Well Dressed is much, much lighter.
OoOoo pretty!!!! I’m really liking most of this collection!
BTW totally unrelated, but yo have BEAUTIFUL teeth Christine! 🙂 Do you whiten or are you just lucky?
I do whiten my teeth every 6-8 months these days (I always forget)!
Ah! Helloooo, pretty photos. I feel like the depth of focus is shallower than usual in your Naturally posts, or the photos are brighter, or something? Idk, I’m probably way off-base, but I’m LOVING these shots!
Of course, the gorgeous products are definitely helping, too 😛
All the same settings, lol! I don’t change anything for fear I won’t know how to turn them back!
OMG… you look so pretty with these new MAC cosmetics! You’re beautiful in every picture you post. However, this picture wins the prize… maybe it’s the angle???
Thanks, Denise!
I totally agree! She pulls all of them off so well!
Mmm that well makes my w/l bigger 🙂
This looks beautiful!!
I know we’re talking about blushes, which is really nice by the way, but wow, I’m loving your lipstick color !! What is it ???
MAC A Perfect Day lipstick on lips
Do you think it would show on darker complexions?
Yes, definitely!
How does it compare to MAC Dainty? Thanks!
Dainty is a yellow-based pink 🙂
You look beautiful Christine!!
My only question is how good is the pigmentation to show up on my NW-45 skin? 🙂
Thanks, Nastassia! I think it would work – the blushes are quite pigmented.
I love this blush!
How does this compare to Nars Desire?
Desire seems bluer-based – perhaps a little lighter!
Love the swatch! Would it work on darker South Asian skin? Also, is it similar to Stereo Rose?
I think it would! Stereo Rose is more coral!
How would this show up on NC44 complexion?
I think it would show up 🙂
Such a nice shade! Its the only product that really stands out of this collection tbh.
Is this similar to MAC tippy from the Hello Kitty collection?
Tippy is much bluer-based!
I think this is my favourite!
It’s very pretty, but it doesn’t look very cool-toned to me! I have yet to find a true blue-based pink blush that still looks blue-based once applied.
Anyway, no matter if the blush is cool-toned or not… It looks PERFECT on you!
This blush looks amazing! Is the shimmer noticeable? I want a blush that looks super natural for everyday (college classes and all). Thanks!
Subtle but not over the top!
This is such a pretty colour! I’ve just got one question, does a cool toned bluish pink blush look well on a warm toned nw20 complexion? Thanks
NW should be cool-toned, so it should be fine!
I ordered this as i missed out on Briar Rose – and Christine, I’m really liking the full face pictures for blush!!! The angle shows your gorgeous cheeks off!!
Christine, what are the benefits of mineralized blushes over normal powder blushes? Because they are pricier yet contain half the product!
None that I can tell you from experience!
which one do you think would look better on a NC15 skin… this one or tarte dollface?
Either, honestly!
I love this look on you, the lips are perfect and make the blush stand out. Amazing!!!
I tried this on in the store and was surprised how much I liked it.
After buying MAC’s “Pinch Me” some time ago and disliking it (too warm/red/dark for me) I had actually sworn off pink blushes, but I see now that I probably just needed a cooler/lighter/more blue-toned one? I have now tried on “Subtle Breeze” two more times and I love it but I just don’t think that it lasts very long at all!! Does anybody know of a longer lasting (maybe creme) blush in a similar shade?
