The texture was velvety, lightweight, and creamy enough that it glided on without tugging on the lips. The color went on evenly, though I had some color catch in my lip lines, which did worsen a bit over time but was only slightly noticeable after five hours of wear. It had rich, opaque pigmentation in one stroke. The formula was comfortable to wear for the most part, but it was a bit drying after the fourth hour of wear. This shade will be released online on September 6th.

Christine…girl…you are getting me even more excited about this Taraji collection! I’m so ready for MAC to take my money!
It seems pretty perfect for darker skin tones – it’s exactly what you’d expect and want from a collab with Taraji, I think (well, we could use more products, haha). 🙂
I totally agree. I wish there was more. But hopefully she’ll get a 2nd round like most celebrities collaborations.
Haha! I feel the exact same way! I will be getting everything from this collection ??? bye-bye money!
I love this shade of lipstick overall. Looking forward to seeing more of this collection! (I spied what was on your cheeks today.)
Me too! 🙂
That’s the Taraji one? I’m there. Those MSFs look excellent, too. I think Empire is starting earlier this year. She is SO GOOD. I forget about the distribution….don’t bother to answer. I’ll look it up.
Yep! 🙂
I like it a lot!
Yay!
Hmmm. I was excited to see this lipstick, but I have sooo many that look like this one! 🙁
On to the powders! 🙂
True! It was more dupable than I expected!
I’m light/light medium but this color works well on me too, because I have 4 of the dupes, although they all do look differently on me, probably because my lips aren’t as pigmented. So I can safely cross this one off the wishlist of 74 lippies!
lol! Yay for a few you can skip!
Ok, so I do have 2 tubes of the very luscious, gorgeous Royally Riotous lipstick, which I always get many compliments on….but I am still seriously drawn to this one! This is what I wanted Whirl lipstick to look like on me, and it just didn’t. I *need* this one, I think….
Run, wallet, RUN!!!
LOL! Hopefully you can try it, Nancy!
This colour will definitely be very popular.
I think it will be!
I was wondering whether the formula would end up being fairly dry on your lips and it seems that it does. It is a lovely caramel shade, but it would be too drying for me.
Aw, darn!
This look is great on you. It really maximizes your skin. BTW, it looks FANTASTIC!
Thanks, Erin!
This is going to be such a beautiful nude on deeper skin tones. I wish it didn’t settle but I really like the color and I love Taraji so I’m getting it
I totally agree, Fancie!
yes!!!!!! its beautiful….
Taraji’s collection is not disappointing so far. I’m always happy to see more, darker MLBB shades out on the market, and this one is too pretty!
It’s quite good! I wish there were more products, but maybe they would be misses, lol!
After so long I am having faster heartbeat looking at a makeup product!!
Awww!
Oh gosh, my first thought was I NEED this. Then I checked the dupes and I have 7 or 8 of them! ?
Guess it’s a color you hate ;P
That is such a pretty color! I knew the moment I saw the ad, I wanted it! How does this compare to with Velvet Teddy? Seems like it would be similar? Maybe?
I don’t think it’s similar, since Velvet Teddy is much lighter – http://www.temptalia.com/side-by-side/?sbs_1_search=MAC+Strip+Me+Down&sbs_1=255667&sbs_2_search=MAC+Velvet+Teddy&sbs_2=107721
I LOVE it. im dark tan in the mineralize skinfinish and never thought I’d ever be able to pull off a “nude” lip- but this is so pretty to me. im lining it with cork to add a little dimension, chestnut was too dark- otherwise it looks washed out. its my no-make up make up look!
Woohoo!!
