MAC Smoky Pink Snow Ball Eye Bag Review, Photos, Swatches
Smoky Pink
MAC Smoky Pink Snow Ball Eye Bag ($39.50 for 0.55 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio of products housed in a holiday makeup bag. For review purposes, I am not reviewing the mascara, only the eyeliner and eyeshadow duo. There was only one new shade within the kit (Light of the Silvery Moon). If you normally use your eyeshadows with a dampened brush, you’ll probably have no trouble using the duo, but I did find the formula to feel a little drier and looser in the pan compared to past Extra Dimension eyeshadows.

Ready to Party
Ready to Party is a light, pinky lavender with cool undertones and a sparkling finish. It had semi-sheer color payoff when applied dry and more opaque coverage when applied with a dampened brush. The eyeshadow was drier, more loosely pressed in the pan, so there was some powderiness kicked up in the pan and the color sheered out too readily when used dry. It wore well for six hours dry and seven and a half hours damp.

Light of the Silvery Moon
Light of the Silvery Moon is a medium-dark gray with cool, blue undertones and a sparkling, frosted finish. It had semi-sheer pigmentation applied dry, where the color also appeared lighter and warmer with a pearl finish. When applied with a dampened brush, it intensified to full coverage and was deeper, richer, and more metallic. The texture was drier–drier than even normal for the formula–and prone to sheering out when used dry, so there was fallout during application and only five-hour wear when I used it dry. When I applied it with a dampened brush, it lasted for seven and a half hours.

Graphblack
Graphblack is a medium black with neutral undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent pigmentation that applied smoothly and easily across the lash line without tugging. The eyeliner wore well for nine and a half hours on me.

Love the MAC today!
The Light of the Silvery Moon is a perfect shade of grey to accompany any kind of eye looks, day or night. As an avid grey eyeshadow lover and wearer, this shade is perfect.
I seem to be half way between you and Katherine…historically, in the short run….
This kit is coming in the mail today! Glad to see it scored well, hoping it holds up on my oily lids, will make a nice wintry eye look
Now I want this! I’m happy to see the good review. Thanks!
This reminds me of a duo by Kiko in one of its last collections… 🙂
The eyeshadow duo looks good on you! I think it might look too frosty on me, though.
I’m glad this bag did well as I’m giving it as a gift and it’s about to ship next week. I like the grey trend this winter/ holiday season.
What a beautiful duo!
