MAC Royal Flush Extra Dimension Blush Review & Swatches
Royal Flush
MAC Royal Flush Extra Dimension Skinfinish ($31.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a muted, plummy rose with soft, warm undertones and a warmer, more golden, luminous sheen. It was a little desaturated in color, and it was the sheen that made it appear warmer, so when applied to my cheeks, it looked cooler, more plum-like with a golden shift as the light hit it.
The texture was moderately-dense, firm but not stiff to work with but will work best with a moderately-dense brush (which also made it hard to over-apply). It had mostly opaque color coverage, which was easy to build up or use less of, that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. It lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

The Extra Dimension Skinfinish formula is supposed to give “the perfect glow to the skin” with a “creamy powder formula” that wears for “10 hours.” It’s a powder highlighter that I’d describe as a moderate to intense highlighter, and they come in varying hues with some that might work as highlighting blushes/bronzers are on some skin tones and true highlighters on other skin tones. In general, the formula is very pigmented, blendable, and wears around eight to nine hours on me.

Gorgeous! I think I will be treating myself to this when stores reopen here.
Gorgeous!! I’ve just fallen for this absolutely stunning blush! Now this is what I’d call my perfect highlighting blush if I owned it.
I splurged and bought all 3 of these when they came out – LOVE them all! This is my fave, I don’t do backups anymore but I was tempted.
The palette, the lipsticks, this blush…alright, so I’m I’m not the biggest fan of MAC’s formula. Especially their pressed powder formulas, which I find to be a little too stiff for my liking. But I want this collection so badly. It’s just so pretty. *makes grabby raccoon hands*
Thanks. I love this, too, and have to drag out Coucher de Soleil. I like the orange in that one, too. Oh, the trials of makeup dementia!
Very, very pretty and this line has worked well for MAC.
It reminds me so much of Burberry Silk and Bloom. Both are described as having warm undertones/golden sheen, but on the skin they get plum-pink and the warmth seems to turn into a glowiness that adds depth more than changes the color.
Gorgeous shade. I have nothing like that. Love it with the lip too!
