MAC Shop MAC, Cook MAC: Restores Dazzle! Cremeblend Blush

MAC Restores Dazzle! Cremeblend Blush ($20.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “rich plum.” It’s a gorgeous darkened raspberry with a subtle cool undertone and natural sheen. Bobbi Brown Plum is somewhat similar but pinker and lighter. MAC Vintage Grape is darker, less pink.

Whether you want a really dramatic, intense cheek color or a softer, subtler hue of pink-berry, you can easily achieve both here. The product is incredibly pigmented, so a little will go a long way–use a stippling brush and/or a light hand when applying if you desire sheer to medium color coverage. I applied with light-medium application in mind so it would be easily seen in photos.

Cremeblend Blush has an interesting texture that’s creamy but slick; it’s not thick like a traditional cream blush; it almost feels like a gel or cheek stain in feel, but it applies and looks like a cream blush. Ā I wasn’t able to test the wear of this specific shade for wear, but I’ve tested five or six of the various shades in this formula, and I typically average seven hours of wear.

Yaya, thanks for the feedback, Christine! This is a shade outside my comfort zone, so I’m glad to hear the cremeblends are so buildable šŸ™‚

This looks lovely! Is it kinda similar to Benefit Benetint in terms of color and feel? I want those subtle berry/plum colored cheeks, not as grown up as brown, and not as sweet as pink. I want that sophisticated look. Do you think this will work for that with my NC15 skintone? šŸ™‚

I think these are also gonna be great for layering with powder blushes! I am going to pick up Restores Dazzle and Optimistic Orange.

I wish it wasn’t limited edition! Looks like something i would love to wear in the fall/winter! Not so much in the spring though. more of a corals, and springy pinks type of gal.

I went to the Houston preview invite for their VIP and tried this. My complexion is medium brown NW44 and it doesn’t show up great on dark complexions. I didn’t really like it…their powder blush in a similar color shows more pigmentation on my skin than this product. It’s a pretty color, but not ideal with medium brown to dark brown complexions.

I have Brit Wit and Posey… I’m eyeing this one and Florida (mostly because I’m from
Florida :p) do these compare pigmentation wise to the first 2 mentioned? because posey and especially Brit wit are very sheer .. loving the lipstick btw !

It is a gorgeous blush! It seems a bit dark, but when I saw it on you it looked great! I’ve been wanting to try a creme blend blush, but Ive heard other things that they are hard to blend. Christine do you have trouble with blending?
