MAC Pure Decoration Lipstick ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “light white peach [with a Cremesheen finish.” It’s a warm-toned, light-medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a soft sheen. MAC Peachstock is darker. Guerlain Guerlinade is darker, browner. MAC Salute has a little more yellow in it.

It had mostly opaque color coverage once applied, but it had a tendency to cling to the lips. I highly recommend exfoliating lips prior to applying this, because even though I had, it still made my lips look a bit dry because of the way it clung. The consistency was somewhat creamy, but there was a little tugging when I used it on the lips.  Pure Decoration lasted three and a half hours on me, and it was slightly drying but did not ravage my lips (it was consistent with my experience with Cremesheens–slightly drying).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I think I have found my ultimate nude lipstick! Too bad you did not like the formula. 🙁 I will check it out the next time I visit MAC.

What a shame that MAC is no longer cruelty free. It really sucks to watch all the new swatches. I would have purchased so much but my feelings towards animals are more important than cosmetics *sigh* MAC we had a good run.

I tried this on in the store and loved it, but with a brown lip liner and NYX Mega Shine lip gloss it Natural added it automatically became my HG nude lip! I am NC 40-42 for reference. A coworker of mine also tried it on she is very pale and it was a pretty nude on her without any “fine tuning” like I had to do.

Do you think this would be a dupe of Revlon’s Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude? I’ve been trying to find a MAC nude dupe since Revlon discontinued it 🙁
