MAC’s Mineralize Blush formula is supposed to be a “blush that builds lightly” that has a lightweight feel and “luminous colour.” Petal Power was previously a limited edition shade, I believe, and it was added to the permanent line-up. I repurchased to see whether it had changed at all since its original launch, and I noticed it was significantly lighter and pinker in its permanent iteration (enough that they could be two different colors, really!). It had semi-opaque to totally opaque color payoff with a lightly dusty consistency that felt smooth and didn’t look powdery on the skin. This particular shade has a lot of shimmer, and it appears more metallic with a shiny finish on the skin, which did emphasize pores for me. On my skin, the color lasted for seven hours before breaking down.

Wow, look at that gold shimmer!! I already have Benefit Bella Bamba and Becca Flowerchild, so I’m good, but it’s so pretty. Maybe a primer on the cheeks will help fill in the pores and make this more forgiving

You ain’t kidding about the gold shimmer overload! No, I couldn’t wear this and not feel way too shiny, and with it emphasizing my rather large pores, just NO. I think this one is even worse than Nars Orgasm blush by far.

I just saw it when I was in MAC a moment ago swatching some of those Mineralize Blushes to see how they’d show ( or not ) on me, and even in its container it looks like, WHOA!

I’ve always loved the Mineralize blushes. They’re so glowy and easy to apply, and they just look lovely on! I don’t have this one but I’ve been eyeing it for a while now so I see myself purchasing this soon(-ish, not paid for another 10 days- on countdown).

I wish they would have made some of the Grand Duos permanent. Moon River is my all time favourite blush and luckily I got a backup but although I’ve finished my first one I just can’t bring myself to use my second. I did find a blush similar to it from a mineral makeup company (Earthen Glow or something like that I think) however I only got a sample and I don’t think they even exist anymore! 😛

My two favourite blushes from the permanent line are Dainty and Gentle. Beautiful!

I just don’t do matte bushes, I need shimmer all over ma face! And if look like a disco ball then I know I’ve got it just right! 😀
