MAC Good Moaninnnn & Junie Bee Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

Good Moaninnnn
MAC Good Moaninnnn Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a soft, peachy coral with moderate, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had good color coverage in a single layer, which could be built to nearly full coverage with a second layer but needed a lip pencil underneath to get it to be opaque.
The texture was lightweight, dense without being stiff to work with, and applied evenly across my lips without tugging. The formula could have sat better on my lips, as there was slight separation along my deeper lip lines that worsened slightly over time. It stayed on well for four and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Junie Bee
MAC Junie Bee Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium purple with warmer, pink undertones and cooler, blue and violet micro-sparkle. It had medium pigmentation in one application, which didn’t build up too much beyond that.
It had a lightweight, thinner, and lightly emollient consistency that felt wetter than most of the shades in the collection. There was product that sank into my deeper lip lines, but the shine and sparkle made it difficult to see it in person (unless looking in a magnifying mirror!). This shade lasted decently for four hours, left a pinkish stain behind, and felt non-drying.

MAC Junie Bee Lipstick
Junie Bee is a pretty shade. It’s too bad it didn’t perform better. I really, really hate the packaging on both of these. They look like cheap DS products.
I actually LIKE that Good Moannnn isn’t fully opaque! Because these lighter peach beigey shades can look rather “off” on me without my using a deeper lip pencil and have it peeking through. This is a “maybe”!
Junie Bee is such a delightfully fun shade for summer! The quality may not be A quality, but still very lovely and fun.
I think I want Junie Bee even though it’s not the best performing lipstick around. It’sso pretty and so much fun and it’s really very me. I hope I can get it. I really do dislike the packaging though, why not make it in the usual shape but in different colours. I like the ordinary MAC lipstick packaging.
Brought this for my daughter’s birthday. She loves purple lip colors. Hope she like it.
