Is it only my browser, or a new website change that I no longer can scroll down and see the swatches unless I click on the picture.. I don’t like that, having to open every single picture to see a swatch.
You just have to click “view larger photos” or to view swatches, click “swatches.”
Punk and Raver look much better than I thought they would.
What is the sudden obsession with “ punk rock”? And Barbie pink lipstick being punk? I was there in the 70s…we wouldn’t be caught dead in pastel pink lipstick! The “punk” eye palette looks 80s neon new wave to me. Ok, I’m done ranting. All of these are a hard pass for me.
But I love your Raver Girl eye look!

Everything you said, Seraphine. I mean, there are some very dark shades in it, but the bright almost neon shades look more mid 80’s. Some may not know that Punk and New Wave were very different genres of music and style, unless, like us, they lived it.

Agreed, the “punk” palette is way more “new wave”.
Having said that, these swatches are what the Rockin’ Rebel palette wanted to be. SO much better.
Actually, these are pretty well co-ordinated little sets. There are more good swatches than bad, which is not always true of MAC and I think these are the right size too.
I’ve never really taken a look at these sets but these have really caught my eye. The Deep Set Lipglass is especially pretty but I’m not sure how good it would look on me. The Who Wants Kandi lipstick looks fun too because I’m not too into really pigmented lippies. Do you plan to review these too or just leave it at swatches?
I’m trying so hard not to like these…but, I do! At least the quality of the eyeshadow palettes and 2 lipsticks and one Lipglass.
The “punk” palette appears to be a jam-fest of a few dark smoldering shades of the late 70’s early Punk era with some more Cyndi Lauper era vivid brights. The blackened Black Night lipstick and also Deep Set Lipglass are what’s making me happy!
Okay, so I have passed on the previous palettes because nothing caught my fancy but I have to say, I am liking Raver Girl and not in a small part because of that eye look, Christine. I really love it. I hope I get a chance to see these in Seattle this week.
God Save the Sheen is too sheer but I love the name.
I like the color of lippie Shimmer and Spice but the performance is dreadful.
Many others are very nice though.

I really like your new layout where you can just click ‘swatches’ and see all of them at once. I only view on my computer so cant speak to how it is on mobile. but its so nice!
These eyeshadows look like they would take so much effort to use… I wouldn’t buy these as (for some of the colours) I have some similar pigments or alternative formulas from MAC that I think would do the job better. On the whole I don’t buy MAC eyeshadows anymore, they just don’t have the strong pigmentation that other brands have. Shame as I always used to love MAC.
