The Smoky Sleigh Palette looks interesting. Curious to see reviews. Also, is it me, but does the eyeshadow palette in the group photo not look at all like either palette?
Yeah, it’s not matching up with the description MAC has for it. Their promo Pic people must have been nodding off on the job or something! For example; a silver eyeshadow shown, but no silver described, anywhere? That emerald green, too.
I totally agree with you! The palette in the first picture is different from the picture displaying the two palettes, and in a more profound way than just different lighting or photoshop settings. In the first picture displaying more things from the collection the palette is more cool toned with more mattes and an over all emphasis on mauve tones with a bone white colour and a black. My guess is it s an earlier version of the second palette but the green and silvery metallic shades have been replacing the gold and a more muted brown satin looking shades in th first picture… Or perhaps it was originally the idea to bring out just one palette, and then somehow they decided to go with two?
Wow – this is a big collection and there does seem to be plenty for everyone. I hope it’s good.
Pretty collection. Nothing ground-breaking, though.
Has MAC ever done this many collabs with the same person like this? I mean, props to him but I can’t believe how many collections he’s had.
The only person I can recall is Rihanna, and I think Patrick Starr has more collabs than her.
By the by, I hope MAC will do a(nother) collaboration with Dita Von Teese!
I wanted Dita’s red lipstick but couldn’t get my hands on it! That tomato red shade was life!!!
Also, is Patrick’s Powder all that great? I do hear a lot of YTs talk about it.
I actually really want it for the packaging ?
I like it a lot, I gave it to a friend because she was out but I think it’s at the top of setting powers I’ve used. I’ll repurchase it in this collection.
It’s nice, but I like Beauty Bakerie’s setting powder far more. I have half a jar of Patrick’s Powder that’ll probably forever remain unused.
D set Powder is really nice but the price is a bit ridiculous.. FYI, the price mentioned here is not accurate. It’s said $29, but it’s actualy $49.50 (for 0.51oz). So I think it’s kinda suck that u getting half of the size from last year while the price of last year was only $34 (for 1oz)
Very strange – I specifically asked MAC corporate about the pricing before I posted, and they confirmed the pricing listed here!
MAC just sent out an updated press release about 45 minutes ago (~9AM PST) with pricing at $39.50 for both the MSF and the loose powder.
Twinkling Lights pigment, Baby It’s Gold Outside, Patrick’s Powder and Slay Ride lipstick are ready to take my coinage depending on how they swatch!
They are really milking this collab until it’s dry, lol. I don’t blame them, it’s probably the only collections that have had any movement this year.
Really like the red metallic packaging though.
Those promotional photos ?? so joyful and festive!
I though the three of them looked rather uncomfortable, myself
I know there’s nothing new under the sun, but, other than packaging and the sheer volume of this collection, there’s nothing especially interesting or groundbreaking in this collection. As of late, I’ve really been bored with a lot of new releases, which is good for my pockets, I guess.
Can’t wait to see pics of this collection; it all sounds so pretty 🙂
Looks like a fun collection!
All these new recent releases have honestly been lackluster for me. The collection is nice with pretty packaging but I don’t really need anything. But I do want to try Patrick’s powder. I missed out on it the first time. If it’s such a great powder and a great seller, I wish that MAC would just make it permanent.
