MAC Fresh Honey Mineralize Blush
MAC Naturally: Fresh Honey Mineralize Blush
MAC Fresh Honey Mineralize Blush ($22.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “warm apricot.” It’s more like a softened orange, but it packs a rather orange punch overall. I used it very lightly, because it seemed to go very, very orange, and it wasn’t a particularly flattering look on my warm-toned skin. Thankfully, the texture is soft enough to be forgiving and blendable. It’s similar to MAC My Highland Honey, which is just a touch more peach. Illamasqua Lover is a bit pinker.
The powder feels so, so soft, but of the three from this collection, Fresh Honey was on the powdery side. There was a lot of excess powder kicked up when I tapped my brush against the surface. Even applied, it had a more noticeable texture on the skin than the other two did, though it is still quite lovely and subtle–just not as much as the other two. I tested out Subtle Breeze from this collection for wear, and it lasted for around six hours before it started to look noticeably faded on my normal-to-dry skin. I’ve never had good luck with getting MAC’s mineralize products to wear all day on me, unfortunately.

This looks like my favourite orange blush from Sleek, Aruba!
Oh, thanks for this! I’m scared to try MAC’s face products because I just know I’ll be one of the unlucky ones who will break out. Is Aruba still available? It’s listed on the website but there’s no actual colour thumbnail for it. Will keep my eye out though because it is a nice colour 😀
I think you look so natural and beautiful with those colors. Thank you Christine, once again such a big help.
Thanks, Fabiola!
I am the same…I have to re-apply several times during the day anytime I use a MAC mineralize product (eye or cheek). I do like this new color…I may have to try it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get mineralize products to last longer?
maybe a spritz of fix+ or mineralized charged water? it’ll also bring it out more, so be sure to use a light hand with the blush if you decide to try it that way.
We have just about the same skin tone and undertones, so I’m really excited to get this blush! It looks gorgeous on you, and I have a thing for orange blushes. I find they look really natural on me whether I’m tanner or paler.
Do you mind if I ask what brush you use to apply blush? And what “motions” do you make? I only ask because you always seem to do it so nicely and neatly and whenever I try I looked like I’ve decided to use paint by numbers and it goes streaky!
For this, I used MAC’s 116 and just pat it on the cheek towards the temple, then pull downward to blend.
Thank you very much! I’ll give that a shot!
It’s a tad orange for me, but I think very dark skin tones could wear this well. 🙂
Looks lovely on you Christine. Would you recommend this blush on my NC42-44 skin tone? I’m afraid it won’t show up.
I wouldn’t!
I’m the same skin tone (i.e. NC 40-44 depending on the season), and I picked this up last week – I absolutely LOVE it. It won’t show as much as on Christine’s skin, but it definitely shows and provides a warm glow, I’d say definitely try it out! I’m in love with it!
It also looks great as a highlighter on darker skin tones, such a pretty colour!
Looks great on you! and as always, thanks for all the hard work you do, Christine 🙂
I was so excited about this one but it seems like I’ll have to do too mush work to make it flattering on my pale, cool skin. Thanks for saving me money! 🙂
Oh, I need this :O
Hi Christine!
You didn’t care for how this blush looked on your warm-toned skin? I was wondering who you thought this would be more flattering on? Cooler-toned people? Or people with darker skin? I think orange blush is very interesting, but I’m not sure how to use it.
It looked very, very orange -I did not find it flattering on my skin tone, personally. Deeper skin tones with red undertones would suit this better.
I am glad that you mentioned this since I am an NW46 equivalent and I was curious if I was able to pull this off. Thanks again Christine!
Christine, is Fresh Honey similar to Peaches?? I was wondering which one is more similar to Peaches, this or Early Morning. Fresh Honey looks very orange, I’m not so sure if it’ll look good on NC20-25s like me.
I love these orangey-peachy blushes, but I’m not loving this one (thank GOD, I’m going to be buying enough already!)
i got my highland honey by chance today AND WHEN I GOT HOME AND I SAW YOUR VIDDEO I WAS (oops) thinking that it looked pretty similar and then when i checked here you mentioned it.
this was the only blush i was thinking about getting… should i skip it?
If you love My Highland Honey, you might still want it, but if you don’t use it often, then skip.
I actually quite love the look on your skin tone. I need this blush!!
I love how it looks, you look beautiful. What are u wearing on your lips. Its beautifu.l
Thanks, Johana!
I have Warmth of Coral from the semi precious collection, and don’t wear it too often, do you think this is different enough to justify getting? (I’m addicted to blush but trying to get as little as possible from this collection)
I actually really love the blush 😀 it looks gorgeous on you Christine! we have basically the same skin tone so I hope it will look just as good on me ;3
Do you think people that are an nc30 could pull this off? Thanks!
is this similar to nars taj mahal? which i already own
No, not at all!
At all similar to HK Fun and Games?
And also, Im NW20…would this be too orange? Please reply:) !
Possibly!
Hi Christine, i already have Illamasqua Lover, Nars Taj Mahal, MAC Peaches and ripe peach. Do you think this blush is that different to these that i would need to purchase it? i think i am kinda wanting to be talked out of it in a way!
You could skip I’m sure!
This and Early Morning are so ridiculously pretty. I have My Highland Honey and definately feel they show up differently on my PPP skin. I wish I got just *half* of Christine’s wear time on ALL products. My face is of the stripe that requires frequent reapplication no matter what. I guess in some respects it means I am fortunate not to have to consider wear time much at all 🙂
Do you think it’s a dupe to NARS Gina?
I have been waiting for a ‘pumpkin’ coloured blush! Finally I think I got it.
This is pretty too, I just ordered Aruba but not used it yet.
