MAC Flesh & Lust Lipglass Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Lipglass: Flesh, Lust
MAC Mickey Contractor: Flesh & Lust
MAC Lipglass ($14.50 for 0.17 oz.) sees two shades as part of the MAC Mickey Contractor Collection. Flesh (dirty nude brown) is limited edition, while Lust (soft muted pink) is permanent. Lipglass is a thicker, stickier gloss with a range of finishes and opacities. They are vanilla scented.
- Flesh is a orange-tinged medium beige with a creamy look and subtle micro-shimmer. It seems to lean green on me, which is not exactly flattering for me! It has a creamy consistency, so it does settle into lip lines, but on the plus side, it is more pigmented and is semi-opaque. I can’t think of a dupe, though I’m not convinced there isn’t one.
- Lust is a muted rosy beige with a creamy consistency and finish. It does settle into lip lines, and it’s nearly opaque as far as glosses go. Since it is a thicker, more opaque shade, even though it does settle, it is less noticeable from afar. I see this shade being a lot more wearable than Flesh for many skin tones. This is a permanent shade.
P.S. — On eyes, I am wearing Jaan eyeshadow on the lid, Vivah eyeshadow on the outer lid/crease, Folie in the crease, Burberry Trench to highlight, Ivy fluidline on upper lash line, Urban Decay Perversion on lower water line, Jaan eyeshadow on lower lash line. On cheeks, I am wearing Sur Blush.
MAC Mickey Contractor will be available on January 6th at select North American stores and January 2011 for select international stores. It will be available online on approximately January 4th but may not be available until the 6th.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Flesh might work better on those with darker skin tones as well as those with more olive complexions. It might be one of those try before you buy shades… too bad distribution is so limited.

These shades don’t make me go like: wow! Plus I’m more of a lipstick-girl…
Flesh reminds me a lot of D&G’s Caramel. Is it similar?
Yes, similar — well, to the lipstick, not so much the gloss.
Flesh looks interesting!
I got NC25 and so yellow-ish skin tone, I hope it would work on me.
I dunno why but lately I’m so obsessed w/ peachy-nude or beige.
lust is nice..
Flesh looks gross…ewwwwwww.
Lust looks really nice…totally would go for it but I dont like how it shows every lines on the lips and it look real watery than usual.
Oh gosh, Flesh does look difficult to pull off! Maybe with the right lipstick underneath…
I really like Lust. It’s one of my staples 🙂
Flesh looks like Siss lipstick in gloss form!
I can see why Flesh is named so…
Lust is pretty, good thing its permanent..so I can focus on the rest of the collection.
Lust looks especially lovely on you. Thanks for putting in the FAQ that it is permanent – no need to rush to pick it up.
Lust looks very flattering… a MLBB shade
I like Lust but not Flesh.
I need to see these on darker skin tones.
I’ll try Flesh before but I think it suits skin colors from NC 25 to NC 55. I don’t know for the NW 40 to NW 55. As I am a NC 44-45, I’ll try it. As for lust it’s in my wish-list… It may be out in France around the 20th, but not sure so I’ll wait and see how you girls will say on this collection. Can’t wait to read you all…
Lust looks perfect. Definitely a must-have for me.
I will be purchasing Flesh! 🙂
Flesh= Siss in lipstick form
Definetly will be purchasing!
A perfect LIPSTICK DUPE for Lust is Mac Modesty (if you’re worried about the streakiness of Lust). I have both and they’re gorgeous, but Lust does go on a bit streaky. The trick is to press your lips together after applying to blur any streakiness.
Lust looks a bit like my favorite lipgloss from face stockholm, but i don’t think there would be any way to make flesh look good on me 😛
Hey Christine~
I like Lust, as a color, but it seems very similar to So Vain. Do you think its the perfect dupe for it?
Lust looks totally different on me than So Vain…
would like to see over a primer and maybe a lipstick.
To see if those silly lines will go away.
might try lust ,awsome site yu’v got!
I love the Flesh lipglass that I bought a little while ago over the Cork lip pencil and Yash lipstick. I usually don’t put a lot of the Flesh lipglass over the liptick though anyway. But all three items make a great looking combo on me and I’m not even a gloss sort of person but you know what? Maybe Flesh lipglass should be made permanent by MAC after all!
Do you think there’s a color similar to lust in Chanel or Burberry lipglosses? Those lines don’t seem to make my lips peel. Thanks
I can’t think of any, sorry!
