MAC Fleet Fast Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

MAC Fleet Fast Blush

MAC Hey, Sailor Collection — Fleet Fast Blush

MAC Fleet Fast Blush ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “pinky golden coral” with a satin finish. It’s a muted red-coral with a golden shimmer-sheen. Tom Ford Flush is more vibrant with less shimmer. MAC Immortal Flower is softer and pinker with more of a sheen than a shimmer. Tarte Glisten is very similar but with a more pronounced sheen. Illamasqua Dixie is much more intense and vibrant. Tarte Blissful is brighter and warmer. Tarina Tarantino Feather is lighter. theBalm Frat Boy is a touch pinker and doesn’t have the shimmer/sheen. MAC Early Morning is looks almost burnt in comparison–a little redder.

Even though this and Launch Away! (the other blush in this collection, which I will review after I finish concluding this post!) look rather different in the pot, they don’t look nearly as different once applied. The major difference is the overall tone, as this shade is warmer and redder, while Launch Away! appears pinker.  The texture is soft, finely-milled, and a little stiff/dry; it’s not dry in a bad way so much as it’s just that type of texture. It’s not soft and dense and buttery.  Fleet Fast has good color payoff and applies well against the skin and adds coral and gold warmth to cheeks.  It blended out nicely when I used the 116 to apply it.  I tested out the wear of both blushes yesterday (with some really excellent timing, I managed to test four cheek products, each for eight hours!), Fleet Fast wore for about seven hours before having some minor fading.

Will this blush show up on darker skin tones? I don’t own any of the blushes you compared this blush to.  Been trying to find the answer for this one all day.  Thanks!

You look amaaaaaaizing with this blush, it really suits you, and gives you a very fresh and young look. I have way too many blush, that is my favorite thing to buy when it comes to makeup. Thank you Christine, I guess I am getting this baby too.

I prefer Launch Away on you. It looks very fresh and natural. I didn’t even swatch Fleet Fast, somehow I went straight for the pale peach, lol.

@Christine (Temptalia) Ahh I am so glad they are different! I LOVE Stunner, but I still think Fleet Fast will be a welcome addition to my blush stash!

I love your reviews. Thank you so much for keeping this website going. I check out your website everyday, even when I’m traveling internationally!

I really prefer it when you wear only one shade of blush on both cheeks in your pictures, when you wear a different shade on the other cheek it’s a bit distracting.
On another note, I love that blush. I already have immortal flower so I’ll probably pass 🙂

@sandrafigueroa10 If I didn’t have to crank out reviews within about 24 hours, it would be do-able, but this collection had 7 different cheek products. My cheeks can only handle about 2-3 removals before they redden and then they’re very flaky the next day (which makes testing wear or swatching another blush on top impossible). I’m sorry!

@Christine (Temptalia) I wasn’t trying to be rude, I love your blog. I come here before I decide to buy anything. I do appreciate all that you do 🙂

@sandrafigueroa10 I was only explaining why I’m not able to do it when it comes to MAC collections 🙂 I try to take all suggestions into consideration but sometimes they’re not possible – so I did not want you to think that I didn’t care by not responding!

Thank you SO much for the prompt reviews, Christine; I’ve been waiting to see yours to order.

I have (and love) both Immortal Flower and Modern Mandarin. I also have Melba and Peachykeen (yes, I love coral tones). I’m drawn to this, but I’m wondering if it’s like Peachykeen because of the shimmer. I’m going to get Launch Away because I have no warm pinks (my only other blush is Prism); do you think that Fleet Fast is so similar to my other corals that I should just pass?

Thank you!

Oddly enough, when swatched it sort of looks like Plum du Bois from Cult of Cherry but with shimmer.  Or are my eyes deceiving me?

Hi,

I just want to thank you for all your effort. I’ve been moving from country to country in Asia the last couple of years and it is super handy to see the products reviewed on a skin similar to mine.

big thank you!

Liz

Hi Christina,
I love coral/red blushes but this one seems awfully close to Bite Of an Apple from Venomous Villains, which I have. Is it?
Thanks!

Hi Christine,

I hope this question isn’t a dupe; I can’t remember if I posted it here or in my head. 😉

How close is Fleet Fast to Peachykeen? Fleur Power?

Thank you again for doing this; your reviews and swatches are such a helpful guide. 🙂

Hey Chris,
Thanks for the review. I have another quest: Would any of the brush on this collection show on a NC40 girl like me?

Hi Christine,
How does Mac’s Desert Rose blush compare to FF. Also, do the gold bits in FF show up on your cheek or disappear once applied? Thanks!

Hi Christine,

How does Fleet Fast compare to Mac’s Desert rose blush and Benefit’ Coralista? Also, do the gold flecks in FF show up once applied?

I feel so bad because I’ve swatched my Fleet Fast already… but I think I should return it.  Its so incredibly close to Fleur Power that I can’t warrant having both.  I really really hate returning makeup but this stuff isn’t cheap!

Wow! I have never posted to one of your pages, but you look so good in the first photo I just had to say something! You should make that your FB photo. Sorry if this sounds creepy lol. Im a married young mom with 3 kids, just thought it was a nice photo! I love the blush as well, even though they look extremely similar!

I depotted all my blushes but kept this in the pan for two teasing: 1. The packaging is too cute lol; 2. This is now my go-to summer blush! I believe I’m between an NW 20-25 with golden undertones and this is just so wearable on me! One application is soft and pretty and two applications is the perfect punch of colour. 🙂
