MAC Eyeshadows for Spring 2020 - Swatches

MAC Eyeshadows for Spring 2020 - Swatches

There are 36 “new” MAC Eyeshadow Singles ($17.00 for 0.05 oz.), which feature a “revamped” formula. Some shades you’ll recognize as long-time, permanent shades, while a few are new, most have appeared in some form in the past as a limited edition shade (or permanent within a palette). All of the new shades are also available in pan-only form for $7.00 each.

P.S. — I didn’t realize that Cobalt was also a new shade (it was way further in the core range), so I didn’t buy that one, which is why there are only 35 swatches; four are in pot-form because the pan-only version was sold out.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Natural Wilderness will be mine next time I let myself buy eyeshadow. Showbiz and Sandstone look great too. They all look good tbh.

OMG so excited for these!!! It was about time for MAC to add some more singles to their permanent line! Thanks so much for sharing these! ā¤ļø

I bought Greystone a few months ago and I realize I only really bought it because it was a repromote of a formerly popular but d/c’d shade. I think I’ve used it twice – it’s just so matte and boring (most of my eye looks are boring but not matte!). I can’t wait to see your reviews for some of these, Christine – That’s Showbiz and L.E.S. Artiste and Starry Night have caught my eye, along with If It Ain’t Baroque (though I don’t really need more gold shadows).

Shell Peach and Cozy Grey (I had to double-check the name before typing ā€˜Gray’) look really promising! I’m building a spring palette. My spring vibes are demanding the groundhogs deliver on their promises.

My goodness, is that Carbon???? Wow, this might end all the running jokes about Carbon LOL These seem to swatch much better than the traditional formula. Some of the swatches look powdery but pigment looks good/great and will be even better over primer. Love the red and rose colors!

I really wanted Humblebrag but it looks disappointing. Looks like Carbon is improved. I’m super excited that Cozy Grey is a single now! Sandstone, Finjan, and Royal Rendezvous look really good for transition shades! Triennial Wave looks fun. Not super excited for the shimmers, tbh.

Royal Rendezvous and Cozy Grey both look beautiful, and I don’t think I can dupe them from my collection — eager to see the reviews of how they perform!

Too bad (or too good šŸ˜† ) that my custom made palette is full. I really like they made permanent some limited edition shadows. I also like that more complex duo-chromes like Glitch in the Matrix and Starry are in the refill format, along with more variability for wearable greens. Might even try Cozy Grey as alternative for Omega (which looks grey on me).
