MAC Daddy’s Little Girl Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie’s Girls)

MAC Daddy's Little Girl Lipstick
MAC Daddy’s Little Girl Lipstick

MAC Daddy’s Little Girl Lipstick ($16.50 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone pink violet” with a satin finish. It’s a rich magenta fuchsia with strong, blue undertones, and a creamy finish with a natural sheen. MAC Candy Yum Yum is more neon and just slightly bluer-based. MAC Night Blooming is a smidgen darker and more magenta/purple. MAC Outrageously Fun is lighter and glossier. MAC Dear Diary is a touch purpler. NYX Pink Lyric is more muted and pinker.

It’s incredibly opaque–completely covers my lip freckle with not even a shadow coming through. The texture is creamy enough to glide on without skipping or dragging on the lips, but it doesn’t slip-slide around during the day, so it also didn’t feather or bleed on me. It wore exceptionally well, coming in at six hours, and it also left behind a stain.  It was just a tiny bit drying over time.

MAC is no stranger to shades like these, though, and while absolutely lovely in so many ways, you may already have something like it in your stash. If it’s the kind of shade you wear often, then you’ll probably note the slight differences between all of them. If you rarely do, you could skip.

I’m surprised to say I LOVE this shade! I wouldn’t wear it myself (because bright lipsticks look so bad on me :(), but this is one of the prettiest brights I’ve ever seen! It’s not too dark or awkwardly bright.

Wow! This is a gorgeous shade. I already have Candy Yum Yum, but I’ll definitely grab this too. It goes so well with both Veronica’s Blush and Prom Princess. 🙂

Hi Christine!! Great review as always! I was wondering how this compares to Petals and Peacocks from LOL? I missed out on it and have regretted not getting it ever since! Are they similar?
Thanks so much!!!

Glad you asked Gabriela! I have Spitfire too and holding on to its dear life! Glad to know it’s kind of in the same family! Anything magenta and fuchsia, I’m in!

And that is a stunning color Christine! Seriously! ★

hahahahahaha i see everyone is asking the same question!!
when i saw the promo pics i thought “wow…i have to get this…since i didn’t have the chance to get petals and peacocks”…but…:(

Pretty! I like the name too; Veronica is definitely a “Daddy’s Little Girl!” Mr. Lodge always cracked me up in the comics with his dislike of Archie chasing his daughter!

I’ll pass on the lipstick, though it looks lovely on you.. I couldn’t pull it off with my skin color.. lol. But, I cant get past your eyeshadow !! What iS IT ??!! It is absolutely amazing !! I HAVE to know !! Lol

Here you go, Nicole!

On eyes: MAC Spoiled Rich Eyeshadow Palette, Burberry Trench Eyeshadow (highlighter), MAC Designer Purple Pearlglide Eyeliner (left), MAC Petrol Blue Pearlglide Eyeliner (right), MAC Bad, Bad Black Mascara. On cheeks: MAC Veronica’s Blush Pearlmatte (left), MAC Prom Princess Blush (right). On lips: MAC Daddy’s Little Girl Lipstick.

Not necessarily! I think it depends on the color as well as how you wear it 🙂 Plus, it’s REALLY in the eye of the beholder!

I am looking for a perfect pink lipstick that stands out but does not look crazy pink like candy yum yum 🙂 Something that sort of stands out just enough on my NC44 skin. Do you think this lipstick would look good?

While I do obsess over cosmetics, I’m almost completely unfamiliar with chasing after MAC collections, as my interest is seldom piqued. However- this one is bananas! So fun!! I see the lipsticks I want are sold out. Is this just a “too bad” situation or does MAC eventually re-release after the frenzy dies some? Thanks to whomever can answer!

I’m not totally sure but I noticed with the Strength collection, they restocked Pink Pigeon a couple of times after it sold out. If you go on the MAC site right now, it says some of the lipsticks from the Archie collection are “Coming Soon”. I would maybe keep checking back and hope for the best! They sometimes re-release colors in other collections and in the case of Candy Yum Yum, make it a permanent color. You never know!

Hi Christine, i purchased two of each lipsticks every single LE in a collection that i want. Do they expire although i dont open or use them?

The clock usually starts ticking once you open/use it. They should last maybe 1-2 years additionally (on top of recommended time) if they’re unused.

Schiap is pinker! I looked at them when I was writing the post, but I didn’t think they looked identical (on my monitor).

How does this compare with pink pigeon?
I was just very curious. I missed my chance with the restock, but still never hurts to know!

Thank you in advance!!

I got both Gladiola and Daddy’s little girl
They are the same!!! honestly…
Just that Daddy’s little girl is creamier and shinier. Not a true Satin, in my opinion but essentially same color…

I just bought this lipstick today and the weird thing is that it reads almost berry on me. It only brightens up after more coats. This is going to be one of my every day lipsticks. I purchased Betty Bright and Girl Next Door too!

I tried this lipstick today and I have to say that it looks amazing. I thought it would be like any other pink but it has a slighly unusual tone to it. Thanks for reviewing Christine – the colour really suits you.
