MAC Cream Soda Blush Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie's Girls)

MAC Cream Soda Blush ($23.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “light neutral coral” with a satin finish. It’s a light-medium peach with orange and very slight pink tones. The finish looks mostly matte initially, but the more you blend and buff it out, the more the subtle satin sheen comes through. MAC My Highland Honey is much, much more orange. MAC Melba is darker–it’s like the richer, more intense sister. Chanel Espiegle is similar, though a touch more orange and less peach. NARS Gina is darker and more orange. I suspect MAC Peaches is a bit more beige.

The blush has good color payoff, and it is true-to-pan, but as such a light color, it may not show up well on darker complexions. I’m around NC25/NC30, and it just barely shows up when I applied it; on my skin tone, it looks like a soft bit of warmth on the cheek. If you have natural redness in your cheeks, the peachy coloring of this blush should help neutralize it. The texture of the blush is soft, finely-milled, and smooth–but there is a bit of excess powder that kicks up. It looked good at the seventh hour of wear, but by nine hours, it was mostly faded.

Yeeeeeees, or no? LOL. Is pre purchased, I have to pick it up on February 7.

Mac store put away my makeup 15 days before it leaves the collection.

Sorry my English is terrible.
So I write very little, but you always see and read your website

It looks very natural on you. I think is so pretty, and gives you a nice glow for everyday. Thank you so much Christine, this is a lot of work, that you have put on this collection.

Ditto! Simply shows how dedicated and passionate she is. Thank you so much, Christine! Your reviews are extremely helpful. This will definitely help me pick which ones I’m getting on the 7th. :]

P.S. I’ve been on Temptalia the entire day, hitting the refresh button like crazy. Heh.

You have the best blog but I wish you were pale! Everything looks good on you and I can’t always tell if it’ll suit me. Oh well, definitely looking at this in-store regardless.

Thanks for your reviews and great work! I always look to you for swatches because I’m nc25-30 so it really helps to see everything on you! You’re amazing 🙂

I have some redness in my cheeks so like you mentioned, hopefully it’ll even that out. I’m really liking everything in this collection which is unusual for me because usually when MAC comes out with a collection, there’s sometimes only 1 or 2 items that catch my attention. This seems like it would be a good everyday blush though that I could wear to work with a neutral eye.

Christine, is this the perfect blush for that “peachy glow” i’ve been looking for(for my fair asian skin that has a quite a bit of redness on the cheeks and therefore leans cool)?! ><

i've been looking for something non-coral (i find the coral just emphasizes the red) and more orange/peachy that is bright/light enough to use so it doesn't look like i have sunburnt cheeks… i skipped out on this one but your swatches are making me reconsider as it is less corrally and more orangey which is what I was hoping for.. thanks! 🙂

I love how neutral and soft this is, I will consider buying it when I see it in person once the collection arrives in my country. It seems like I´m more Betty, I prefer her colors better even though as a child I favoured Veronica :p .

Ok. I have a dilemma Christine! Do you think that Flatter Me and Cream Soda are basically the same blush color?? Is it worth getting both?

Also, I’m NC15 (I live in Canada hahaha) and was wondering what would look better? Flatter Me or Veronica’s Blush? I have warm undertones but with a natural flush in my cheeks!

Thanks so much for yet another informative review and know that your basically an international superstar for all your hard work!! =)

Hi Christine! I’m really confused if I should get this blush or Flatter me. Looking at your pictures it seems they have the same effect. The only difference I see is flatter me has more sheen to the cheeks. I’m around NC20-25.. Which do you think is worth the purchase? This will be my first MAC blush 🙂

Hi Christine,
I was wondering if Cream Soda is anything like Benefit’s “Coralista”?
And: I’m pretty pale with more yellow undertones (Benefit’s Hello Flawless foundation in I’m pure 4 sure is just the tiniest bit too dark): which of the blushes and/ or pearlmatte face powders would you recommend? I love the collection so much but can’t seem to reach a desicion…
Thank you so much in advance!

Do you think that this “Cream Soda” Blush is similar to Mac marilyn monroe “lengendary” and/or Hello Kitty “fun & games”? In the pan, they all look so similar to me.

I found by chance that an almost perfect dupe for this is Benefits Georgia peach. The only difference I found was Georgia peach had a bit more shimmer. However the color is pretty much exactly the same. So anyone dying to pick this up but didn’t have a chance go check out Benefit 🙂 Hope this helps! Good luck!!
