MAC Come Over & Keep Dreaming Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Come Over
MAC Come Over Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a light pinky-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The lipstick was quite pigmented in one stroke, but the texture had a bit too much slip for how dense and thick (not truly thick, just thicker than ideal, I’d say!) it ended up being, so this resulted in the color separating along my lip lines and being more prone to collecting around texture imperfections. It wore well for four hours but settled more noticeably into my lip lines over time and was a little drying.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Keep Dreaming
MAC Keep Dreaming Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep pink with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff, which was easily built up to full coverage with less than half of a layer more.
The texture was dense, slightly firm in the tube, but it applied in a fluid motion without tugging on my lips uncomfortably. It felt a little more “on” my lips but not truly clingy. This shade stayed on nicely for five and a half hours and felt a touch drying over time.

Keep Dreaming is such a beautiful color! And so, of course I had to check your Dupe List. I do have ColourPop Alt Rock. Pretty close, I suppose. But, it’s when I saw it a a “possible dupe” for Mariella’s HG lipstick Craving, it was nearly identical, except a little cooler and shinier. Now, I want Craving, too!
Keep Dreaming is lovely. It’s now on my WL. I like that it’s a cooler shade of pink, I think I need this one. Really need it.
