MAC’s Powder Blush formula is supposed to be easy to apply, long-wearing, and have “fantastic colour.” It’s hard to generalize for MAC’s blush formula, because it varies a lot from shade to shade, even within different types of finishes! Some of them are very good, others are so-so, and a few are complete misses. The more frosted/shimmery shades tend to have the softest and smoothest textures and are easier to apply and blend out on the skin, while more satin and matte shades can sometimes be powdery, firm, or stiff, which makes blending more challenging. The wear is typically between six and nine hours but closer to seven to eight hours on average. Cantaloupe had good pigmentation with a soft, finely-milled, and blendable texture that wasn’t too powdery nor was it too firm–nicely balanced and made for easy application. On my normal-to-dry skin, the color lasted for eight hours before showing signs of fading along the edges.

I aahhhdoooreeeeeee this blush and am super happy to see the shade on you C 🙂
Just a request
waiting for 5 ways with UD blushes , NARS blushes n MAC .
Thank you for the suggestions, Rashmi 🙂
I like this! It looks much different than I expected on your skin and swatched. I wish it were a cream though. I want to pick up some cream blushes. Colors seem so limited!
Ahh, you’re a few months too early, lol! I am sure we’ll see plenty of creams come January/February!
I don’t need another orange/peach blush this is a really pretty colour!
Sometimes I forgot how nice MAC’s permanent range can be!
What lipstick are you wearing?
Info is in the sidebar on larger screens, under the post on smaller screens – NYX French Kiss High Voltage Lipstick
Another one that I love!!! All of the old MAC PRO blushes were favorites of mine. Cantaloupe always reminded me of Melba on Redbull. I noticed the other day that… I think it was Salsarose?? Isn’t on the site anymore. It was an old PRO blush. Pretty color too!
Salsarose! Sad times that that one got the axe!
Perfect on you!
Thanks, Jessica!
This looks incredible on you. I like it but it might be too dark for me. I should probably stick with Tenderling.
Aw, thank you Ginny!
This is really a beautiful shade. Going to add it to my mac collection soon.
Yayy!
Ooh, I like that a lot! I might go for MUG Infatuation instead, just because of the lower price point. But I think I’ll wait to swatch this in store because if I absolutely love it, I’ll fork over a couple more bucks!
Both are great options 😀
omg… so pretty!
It is!
Lovin’ this nice, very natural looking shade! It has a sunny, almost bronzed, but still colorful vibe!
I totally get what you mean, Nancy!
Hi,
Your skin looks amazing. Do you like the MUFE foundation? Which shade are you wearing?
This is the old, original HD! I think it’s 127 or 128.
I don’t really care for this one. It’s too yellow-toned.
It looks really nice!
Oh, you are showing us some really lovely MAC blushes! I love this, I thought it would be too warm for me, but maybe not. I must absolutely swatch it next time I go to a MAC counter. So Pretty!
omg lovely shade! Would you say this shade is like mug peach smoothie? Or mac somoa silk??
Browner!
Very nice on you!
Thanks, Mandy!
How would you compare this to NARS Luster? Is it in the same color family? Sometimes I feel like Luster reads a bit reddish on my cheeks rather than a true peach/apricot. Cantaloupe seems like it might be what I’m looking for!
