MAC Alpha Girl Beauty Powder ($26.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “soft peachy pink with gold.” It’s a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a delicate golden sheen. ColourPop Trickery (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, cream. NYX Soft Spoken (P, $6.50) is lighter. MAC Fun Ending (LE, $21.00) is slightly more muted. Hourglass Diffused Heat (P, $35.00) is brighter, less shimmery. MAC Lured to Love (LE, $27.00) is darker. NARS Day Dream (LE, $29.00) is darker. MAC Immortal Flower (LE, $21.00) is warmer. On light-medium and fairer skin tones, this could easily be used as a blusher. It’s very subtle on my medium skin tone, so I would expect it will be more and more subtle on deeper skin tones. The texture is thin but smooth with a firmer press where a denser blush brush is key to getting color to transfer onto the brush. More feathery brushes don’t seem to pick up much product when I was playing with it. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable coverage and a satiny sheen that didn’t emphasize pores. It was easily blended on the skin so it looked even and diffused. On me, it wore well for seven and a half hours before fading.

Passing. It would be as about as detectable on my skin as yours which is not the deal breaker because nice barely- there cheek colors can be nice. But, that along with the wear time and the LE status, kills this one for me. Thanks for testing though! 🙂

I think this is really pretty. I’m very fair and I tend to favor subtle blushes most days, so anything that runs the risk of patchiness or stubborn intensity scares me… this looks like something I would really like!

This blush looks very pretty and soft on you! I’m just about out of my Immortal Flower, so maybe this will be a good replacement!

Thanks for rolling out swatches so quickly! It’s crazy that you have three collections to get through!

Both of the beauty powders look so angelic on you. I don’t normally go for peach blushes because the orange tones in them can turn brownish on my fair skin, but your description makes it sound appealing. Do you think it has more pink undertones than orange?

Hello Ginny,
like you, I have to be very careful with peach blushes because they can turn colour (well, many blushes unfortunately do, but with the peach tones it is most noticeable), and I am very pale. Just FYI, I had Alpha Girl from the Fashion Flower release and I sold it because after an hour the pretty colour turned muddy on me, even though in some forums many people report that it looks a bit more pink-ish on them.
However, I guess it depends on skin chemistry, too. It is probably tricky with the LEs immediatly sold out, but perhaps you can try it in store first (or maybe the MUAs at the counters already have the testers now and might let you try it in advance).

Thank you! In this case, I probably won’t order it and if I happen to see it at a counter I’ll try it there. I appreciate your advice 🙂

My goal in 2015 is not to buy everything make up collections. LOL this color and the other blush color although rated better than I thought, are very dupable and you could get this color with any make drugstore brand or high-end out today

Do you know whether it’s the same as the Alpha Girl that they released in the Heatherette collection? I loved that one, so will definitely be picking this up if it hasn’t changed!

GK Avatar

Is this the same Alpha Girl that was in the Heatherette collection from 2008? I know I have at least one in my collection & possibly from another launch too.
