KIKO 108 Orange Coral & 109 Candy Rose Soft Touch Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
KIKO 108 Orange Coral Soft Touch Blush
KIKO 108 Orange Coral Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a medium coral with hints of pink and a mostly matte finish. It was one of the least-satiny shades in the range, so if you prefer more matte finishes, this one might work better for you. The texture was on the drier, dustier side, so coverage was semi-sheer to semi-opaque (two to three layers). It applied decently but could have been more blendable. It lasted for six and a half hours on me. Marc Jacobs Beauty Lines & Last Night (502) (P, $42.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). Tarte Vibrant (LE, $29.00) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (95% similar). Dior Precious Rocks (864) (LE, $45.00) is lighter (95% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Summer (LE, ) is lighter (95% similar). Sephora Sweet on You (P, $14.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). NARS Croisette (LE, $30.00) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). Make Up For Ever B314 (P, $23.00) is more shimmery, lighter (95% similar). Makeup by Mario Creamy Peach (P, $24.00) is more shimmery, cooler (95% similar). Tarte Mod (LE, $29.00) is brighter (95% similar). MAC I'll Hold My Breath #2 (LE, ) is more shimmery (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty The Afternooner (Blush) (LE, ) is darker (95% similar). Haus Labs Pomelo Peach (P, $38.00) is less shimmery, cooler (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Warm (Winter 2016) Blush (LE, $60.00) is cooler (95% similar). Rose Inc Daylily (P, $18.00) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). Tarte Genuine (LE, $29.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer (95% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Medium-Deep #1 (PiP, ) is more shimmery (95% similar). NARS Freedom (P, $30.00) is less shimmery, darker, less glossy (95% similar). Sephora Free Spirit (P, $14.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). ColourPop Kitsch (LE, $10.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Sephora Shame On You (01) (P, $14.00) is more muted (90% similar). KIKO 109 Candy Rose Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a soft, rosy pink with warm, yellow undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque coverage with a soft, smooth, lightly powdery consistency that blended well on the skin. It is the type of color that is going to be better on fairer skin tones, as it does get lost on my skin tone due to the lighter tone of the color. I noticed some fading after seven hours of wear. Makeup by Mario Mellow Mauve (P, $24.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). LORAC Tinge (PiP, $23.00) is lighter (95% similar). Jouer Rose Petal (LE, ) is darker (95% similar). By Terry Savannah Love #1 (LE, ) is more shimmery (95% similar). KVD Beauty Poe (Light) (DC, ) is lighter (95% similar). LORAC Wavelength (LE, ) is more shimmery (95% similar). MAC What I Fancy (LE, $24.00) is warmer (95% similar). Too Faced Peach Dream (P, $30.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Makeup Geek Main Squeeze (P, $10.00) is darker (90% similar). Benefit Dandelion (PiP, $29.00) is darker (85% similar). Guerlain Morning Rose (P, $52.00) is warmer (90% similar). Catrice Coral Me Maybe (P, $5.99) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Dior Bal (250) (P, $46.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Cheeky Devil (LE, $30.00) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC At Dusk (LE, $31.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Milani Pink Play #1 (PiP, ) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Hourglass Surreal Effect (LE, $40.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Chantecaille Bliss (LE, $44.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Lesson in Love (LE, $24.00) is darker (90% similar). Estee Lauder Peach Passion (P, $34.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
FORMULA OVERVIEW | KIKO Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is supposed to be a “radiant and highly pigmented blush” with “long lasting colour.” It’s a powder blush that has a thinner, fairly smooth, blendable texture that ranges from semi-opaque to mostly opaque coverage. Most shades are matte to satin with the more matte shades still having a natural-looking finish to them (not flat or dry-looking applied). The wear has varied from six to eight hours depending on the shade.
Per readers comments, it appears these have been discontinued in some countries, though all shades except one appear to be available on the U.S. website. (It’s hard to tell if they’re just on sale, as they’re presently available for $3.90 a pop instead of $12, or if they are discounted to move, as I have seen KIKO do 30-50% off before.) I wasn’t intending to review these back-to-back but will be doing my best to get reviews out quickly in light of seeming to be discontinued. Readers have said the replacement is the Shade Fusion Trio Blush (which I haven’t tried, so I don’t know anything about), which would sure be a bummer, since it is more expensive and a trio of shades, so it is different enough that it doesn’t seem like a true replacement to me (boo!).

That first look with the orange coral is just breath-taking! What eyeliner did you use for this look?
The darker blue is L’Oreal Cobalt, but the majority of it is Cressida.
I love how orange coral looks on you! It’s definitely my kind of shade. Too bad it’s a bit dry and powdery… Doesn’t look like that on your face though.
They are forgiving applied!
I already have better performing dupes for these, including MAC’s What I Fancy – love! And I noticed your’re wearing the new NARS spring shadows. I like playing with Tarvos. On it’s own, it’s a little too cool and frosty on my skin, but when I put it on top of a matte gray cream shadow, I get a really cool silvery green shimmer
Oh, nice! Glad you’re able to make Tarvos work for you, Katherine.
Oops, I meant I have MAC Spring Flock (love!), not What I Fancy.
Cute look with Orange Coral! I love those earrings! I just got Nars Cressida and Kari along with the CP lippie. So, maybe I’ll have to scale this look to fit me. You look so mermaid-ish!
I love the other look too! Will you remind me of the seller on Etsy for your earrings? I’m actually shopping for a big nubby scarf on there. I may need some pretty jewelry to slide into the cart! lol.
Thank you so much! It’s Bella Anela Jewelry! 🙂 Haha, I was just on Etsy last night and bought new bowties for Mellan!
Etsy is addictive! 🙂
Candy Rose does look like it would be a very pretty color for fair skins with warm or neutral undertones.
I agree!
The packaging looks very similar to Becca blushes.
They do share some similarity!
I’ve ordered of few of these blushes since they are a great price. First time ordering from Kiko. I’m very fair and I ordered both of these. I think Candy Rose will be perfect, but for the Orange Coral one, I will have to use a very light hand!
I also ordered their foundation. It looks light enough to be a match for me. Fingers crossed! Looking forward to receiving my products. They seem to have products that worked for a variety of skin shades.
Let us know if they are fair enough for you, Robin! 🙂
Pretty blushes! You look beautiful in those pictures!
Thank you, Joy!
They both look so lovely! Orange Coral is right up my alley.
Nice blushes, shame they’ve been discontinued on the UK site. I love your blue eye, such a pretty look! I’ll have to copy it sometime!
Thanks, Claire!
Orange Coral is such a perfectly spring-y shade! It’s sad that the formula is rather “off”, otherwise I’d need to get it. Hopefully, Spring Flock might still be around at the beginning of March, because even though I have quite a few darker and/or brighter blushes, I’m really beginning to like less intense shades, too.
The 2nd shade looks like it will be fabulous on fairer skintones! Like it would have a nice soft brightening effect. Beautiful!
I hope you can still nab Spring Flock in March 🙂
Those blue earrings are so cool! Are they from the same Etsy shop as the dangling ones? (Which are also gorgeous).
I love both these blushes – they are gorgeous, subtle colours. And I love both your looks too. Just perfect.
Candy Rose is perfect! Wonderful for disguising flare ups!
