KIKO 104 Pastel Pink Soft Touch Blush
KIKO 104 Pastel Pink Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a medium-dark, raspberry pink with cool undertones and a soft, frosted finish. (There’s nothing pastel about it!) It swatches and applies darker than it appears in the pan. The texture was soft, fairly smooth, and blendable with a luminous finish that didn’t emphasize pores but had a nice, even glow. This shade wore for eight hours on me before fading. Pat McGrath Berry Brilliance (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). NARS Outlaw (P, $30.00) is cooler (90% similar). KIKO 105 Dark Rose Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a muted, medium mauve with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had good color payoff with a soft, blendable texture that was easy to work with and just the tiniest bit powdery in the pan (but it didn’t look powdery applied to my cheeks). The color lasted for seven and a half hours on me. Tarina Tarantino Neopolitan Lane (P, $25.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Physicians Formula Plum Rose (P, $12.99) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Sur (LE, $24.00) is lighter (90% similar). ColourPop I Need Space (DC, $12.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | KIKO Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is supposed to be a “radiant and highly pigmented blush” with “long lasting colour.” It’s a powder blush that has a thinner, fairly smooth, blendable texture that ranges from semi-opaque to mostly opaque coverage. Most shades are matte to satin with the more matte shades still having a natural-looking finish to them (not flat or dry-looking applied). The wear has varied from six to eight hours depending on the shade.
Per readers comments, it appears these have been discontinued in some countries, though all shades except one appear to be available on the U.S. website. (It’s hard to tell if they’re just on sale, as they’re presently available for $3.90 a pop instead of $12, or if they are discounted to move, as I have seen KIKO do 30-50% off before.) I wasn’t intending to review these back-to-back but will be doing my best to get reviews out quickly in light of seeming to be discontinued. Readers have said the replacement is the Shade Fusion Trio Blush (which I haven’t tried, so I don’t know anything about), which would sure be a bummer, since it is more expensive and a trio of shades, so it is different enough that it doesn’t seem like a true replacement to me (boo!).

I was looking at the swatch of Dark Rose by itself, trying to figure out why it was called “rose”, and it’s not apparent there are reddish undertones until you compare it to swatches of other blushes
That’s very true! That is always a good way to pick out undertones.
Both look very soft and natural on you.
Thank you!
Dark Rose is my favourite so far! Aaagh! I’ll find it, somewhere, somehow! 😀
It’s a nice neutral! It’s a shame there aren’t more shades like it at this price point!
Nooo, Christine!! Why must you make me want things that are nowhere to be found in Canada!! 🙁 :p
It’s pretty crazy to me that they have 2138497324 country sites but NOT Canada.
I think these are both quite pretty, although maybe a bit shimmery for me.
They are nice shades!
Oooh..love both! still no card though! 🙁
Oh no! Hopefully tomorrow!
Not enough difference across shades altogether imho.
Thanks for sharing!
Oh, this could be a problem, because I love them both! Pastel Pink made me LoL at the utterly ridiculous name choice they went with! But I love that it seems much less glittery than the Milani Vino Red (or was it Red Vino?) you just posted a review of today.
They have some interesting name choices 😉
Pastel Pink is way more pigmented than it looks! I like Dark Rose. I’m nowhere near done with Nars Douceur (dc’d) but this looks like a pretty good dupe. Less brown, but not too pink.
Gotta love those neutral-y blushes!
I’m loving Dark Rose!
Yay!
Really gorgeous blushes and they look lovely on you.
Thanks, Genevieve!
