Do you keep a makeup bag with you regularly?
I do not! I keep maybe a gloss and a lipstick in my bag (like Fenty’s Gloss Bomb and Urban Decay Vice Lipstick) or possibly a random lip color that I’m testing if I expect to be out for awhile.

Yes – Nars concealer, mini mascara, at least two lipsticks, lip balm, Chanel 5 purse spray, hair tie. Plus all my mum stuff like band aids, kids panadol, hand sanitiser, hand cream and sun block. I have an old Charlotte Tilbury make up bag. It all fits in there and lives in whatever bag I have with me.
I do, but I never actually use it. It’s more habit and assurance than anything. I always have my lip colour with me and a lip balm. Lip balm seems to be the only thing I grab.
Yep! Just a small one. It has blotting papers, a pressed powder, a travel brush for said pressed powder, compact mirror, usually a lipstick for touch ups, and some bobby pins/hair elastics.
I carry it with me everywhere, mainly because I’m so oily and need to have blotting papers/powders on hand. If I didn’t have to worry about blotting/touching up I probably wouldn’t make such a point to always have one with me.
I usually keep lipstick, eyebrow pencil, and powder compact in my bag’s inside zip pocket, rather than carry a separate makeup bag. On days when I’m wearing a bold lipstick, I’ll put a nude or sheer lipstick in my bag, too, just in case I want to tone down during the day.
Yes — I always need a touch up or two during the day, so I keep concealer, lipstick, lip balm, powder and blotting papers with me.
In my “big bag” that I take to work I have a little pouch with a few lipsticks and powder. If I’m going out on the weekend I just take my lipstick.
Of sorts – I think mine is probably more of a catchall necessity bag. It has lip products I’m using, hand sanitizer or silver spray, hand lotion, cuticle lotion/oil, tweezers and floss.
A makeup bag of sorts. I keep a bag with nail file, floss, deorderant, Ibprofen, lip balm, hand sanitizer etc. Only makeup-ish items I keep is lip balm, lotion, perfume and pressed powder. I take lipsticks out at the end of the day if I carry one with me that day. I never bring any other makeup items with me usually
I used to keep a whole contraption with a bunch of nonsense. Then I carried a small bag with certain items for touchups or emergency makeup on the fly. Then I realized there is no such thing as the latter because I’d rather just go without makeup than hurriedly apply random items. Now I carry a lipgloss or lipstick, preferably one I wouldn’t mind losing because I’ve lost many precious lippies in my past!
I do. I have two bags. The small one I always keep with me. It has powder, lip balm, lipstick and/or gloss. I also keep some hair oil, hand cream, and a perfume rollerball in my makeup bag. If I don’t have time to do my makeup before leaving the house, then I’ll bring a bigger bag with a full face of make up. I’ll keep that look simple with minimal products and I’ll apply in the car.
Oh! And I also keep a face mist in my daily bag to refresh. Currently, I carry around the Mario Badescu Aloe and Rosewater. I love it.
Yes, I need powder for mid day touch ups, and of course my current lipstick.
No – I just carry whatever lip products I happen to be wearing that day in my jeans pockets for touch ups at work. Apart from that, whatever goes on has to stay on!
I very small one with a powder, and whatever lipstick I’m wearing that day. Sometimes I ended with a few lipsticks on my bag because I don’t take out everyday, I ended Friday with like 6 or 7 lipsticks..lol ..
I have a bag I carry all the time with makeup removing wipes, cotton swabs, lip balm, sun stick, a lipstick I have on, a cushion foundation and a blotting powder. 90% of the time I only end up reaching for the powder and lipstick but one can’t be prepared enough 🙂
I have a small makeup bag with a few lipsticks in it in my work bag because I often apply lipstick after I get to work. I periodically rotate the lipsticks out the bag so everything eventually gets used.
No, all I carry with me is my lipstick of the day, a lipgloss and my lipliner. I expect my makeup to last and look good all day. I have some 12 hour workdays and I expect it to last through that too. Thankfully I have found products that really last all day. In fact I rarely even have to touch up my lipstick since I usually wear a matte lip. Sometimes if I do need to touch up my lip I just use my gloss. I have really made a conscious effort to downsize the things I travel with in my purse.
I travel light! A lip balm, lipstick, and/or gloss tucked into one of the compartments of my purse du jour is all I carry so there is no need for a makeup bag. Before I retired, though, I kept a makeup bag in my desk drawer in case I had to freshen up for an afternoon meeting. It contained Tatcha blotting papers, Clé de Peau compact powder (perfect match for my CdP foundation), a blusher, and a pencil eyeliner. The purpose was to restore; not redo.
Kind of? I always have lip balm, hand lotion, and a sewing & first aid kit with hair ties/safety pins/deodorant wipes. If I’m wearing makeup I always bring the lipstick with and if I’ll be out more than 3 hrs I also bring the main eye shadow (if it’s a single) and a mini face powder + kabuki brush.
No, but did when I worked full days, in the work bag. Kind of like needing lunch only one day/week. Gone for so few hours, with zero time/desire to touch up. Usually take a lip product though, s.t. not the applied one, but a more balm-like one in the same color fam. On the rare occasions that my m/u tsunamied, just washed it off.
I do carry a few products in a makeup bag in my purse. I have a compact with a matte powder for touch ups, whatever lipstick I am wearing that day, along with 50 more that I haven’t taken out from previous days, a lip balm, a few makeup wipes and usually a lip liner. I also have a small round magnified mirror as my vision up close it terrible.
Just turned on the TV. Prayers for Houston!
Nope! And I have a zillion of them from when I subscribed to Ipsy, LOL. I just use the zippered back pocket inside my handbag to carry a mini mirror, WnW Coverall Pressed Powder and a mini kabuki brush, a waterproof black eyeliner, plus, my lipstick, lipliner and lip gloss of that day. MAC Prep & Prime for Lips stays in my bag. ?
When I worked I kept some makeup in a desk drawer, along with a mirror although I never used it except for blotting papers, blush and concealer. Now I carry lip color, lip gloss, a neutral lip pencil and a mirror with me, along with some sunscreen powder. I live in NYC and it is easier to stop in Sephora should I need something more or a department store if I have to do anything else.
I do, but usually only in the warm months, because I usually have 10 to 15 hour days in the summer, and I want to be as comfortable as I can be! I carry all of this in a small to medium cross body bag!
I usually carry:
– A cream to powder stick foundation because I’m an excessive face sweater and it destroys my base.
– a bottle of my HG face sunscreen, juice beauty sport spf30 20% zinc oxide for reapplications throughout the day to my face
– a travel sized bottle of supergoop SPF mousse for my shoulders and arms.
– shiseido blotting papers
– MAC cream casual colour in weekend get away for blush touch ups
– MAC twig lipstick for a nude lip option
– Givenchy rouge interdit lipstick in 23 (a very bright hot pink) for a bright lip
– dry shampoo powder from lush
– makeup remover wipes
-deodorant/floss/Q tips/hair ties
I have been out of the house for 12 hours as I write this, and this is what I have with me today!! Some days, I add a mini 1oz spray bottle of devs curl misteright to refresh my curls, and a hydrating face mist. But I decided to leave them home today!
No I don’t either – I just keep a few lipsticks in my handbag. And it’s annoying when I change handbags that sometimes the lipsticks get left behind and after awhile I start looking for them….
I actually keep two. My larger, main bag has my lip balm, mirror compact, powder compact, a mascara sample, Nyx HD Photogenic Concealer Wand, a rollerball fragrance (I change it out once in a while), UD 24/7 eye pencil in Perversion, UD lipstick in Sheer Rapture, and my colored eyeliner pencil, lip color, and lipliner of the day.
The other is my emergency trip bag. It has samples or minis of everything to do a simple full face.
Yup. And I also use it as a security blanket. My makeup bag is very small though (Truffle clarity clutch mini). I have a MAC mineralize pressed powder (I actually use this for the mirror more than anything), mini kabuki brush, mini mascara, mini BB cream eyeshadow stick in gold, mini eyeliner, Dior lip glow, and a mini perfume rollerball. I also carry my lipstick for the day, but my purse already has like three in the mini pouch that I end up with way too many! What’s nice about the clutch is that it lays nice and flat, doesn’t take up much space and I can throw it in any bag.
Absolutely! It’s like my America Express, I never leave home without out it!!!
No. I have one I leave at work (for if I need to change a look to make it more publicly appropriate on days where I have a surprise meeting or trip), and I have pressed powder compacts stashed *everywhere* (messenger bag, center console of car, side-bag of bike, desk drawer at work, etc…), but I rarely find the need to reapply anything other than powder or lip products over the course of the average day; the powder I’ve taken care of, the lip products fit in my pocket.
Yes, just about EVERYWHERE.
I keep a little ipsy pouch in my bag with whatever lipstick I’m wearing that day and a compact mirror. I’ll also put powder and a brush in there if I know I’m going to be out for a big chunk of the day.
I carry a makeup bag small enough to fit in my pocket, holding the essentials-my lip balm and lipstick of the day, my ID, and whatever form or amount of money I happen to have with me.
