Hourglass Every Time, I Am, I Feel Confession Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Every Time
Hourglass Every Time Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.03 oz.) is a light, peachy brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. The consistency was dense without being heavy or thick, so it felt a bit firmer in the tube, but it glided on without tugging and delivered even, nearly opaque coverage in one stroke. There was a touch of tackiness present, which seemed to ensure it stayed in place better and kept out of my lip lines. It wore nicely for five hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$34.00/0.03 oz. - $1133.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "creamy, saturated, longwearing color with a satin finish." It's a light-medium thick formula that was typically opaque with a lightly creamy texture that glided on without tugging but did not slide around while worn. The majority of shades had a natural to satin finish, and they lasted anywhere from four to seven hours with light hydration. The best performing shades were light to dark while the lightest and deepest shades weren't quite as consistent.
The lipstick can be purchased with the full packaging/applicator for $34 or as a refill-only for $22. The refill packaging is substantial enough that it is usable on its own, as there's a detachable base that the refillable cap clicks onto (with an audible click), but they are very slim--and that's not a surprise given they only contain 0.03 oz. making them one of the smaller lipsticks on the market. Slim lipsticks typically contain around 0.07 oz. of product and are usually smaller than the average standard lipstick tube (which tends to be between 0.10 and 0.12 oz.).

I Am
Hourglass I Am Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.03 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark pink with soft, warm undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage with a single stroke with a lightweight, creamy consistency that looked more emollient than it felt, so it didn’t slide around while worn. There was a smidgen of streaking along the edge that I could see in the close-up photo but not in person. This shade lasted well for five hours and felt hydrating over time.

I Feel
Hourglass I Feel Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.03 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with moderate, warm undertones and a cream finish. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and lightly creamy (though it looked more emollient in the finish than it felt) and was comfortable to apply and to wear. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single and stayed on well for five and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Personal pick for me is ‘I Am’. What a gorgeous shade of bright, yet rich pink!
…and then I spot Givenchy Rose Dressing as a pretty straight up dupe, so it’s finally time. ?
These are so nice. I’ve never purchased one but I’m sorely tempted every single time I see one of your reviews.
Same! I do not own one yet and I’ve been mulling over which shade to buy for ages.
Just so you know ladies, you can buy the refill for a lower price ($22) if you don’t want it with the gold applicator for $36, it’s a smaller item that carries super well in a small purse and sturdy enough packaging, non-descript quite small black tube. What I don’t know is whether limited edition shades will be available.
I bought My Icon Is which is a shade I received as a sample a long time ago and love it. Great pigmentation, hydrating and stays and fades very nicely for a creamy lipstick.
I’m really liking I Am here
Hope this helps!
Thank you, Blanca!
These lipsticks look lovely to wear and I like the shade I Feel the best.
Thank you for reviewing “I Am,” Christine. I put it in my Sephora cart after receiving a different shade in my Beautylish Lucky Bag this year (“I Crave”). The photos here look almost like it has a hint of coral in it. It’s very pink on the website, though. Wish I could see these in person, but no one in a 50-mile radius carries Hourglass. Hmmm. The color is lovely on you (as always), so I might give it a try. I really like the gold packaging.
My pleasure, Tracy! Maybe take a look to see some other shades I’ve swatched to see how to +/- how they might look on you to see if this is the right shade for you!
Thank you, Christine! I always check your reviews before making a purchase. Your reviews, descriptions, and images are far more reliable than the manufacturers’.
Every time looks really good on you, Christine
I love the look of these and the shades are beautiful BUT they are only .03 oz and the stylos are .09 for $2 less each. I guess they’re travel friendly with the size but I have a few older hourglasses lipsticks too and I just can’t see myself spending the $ for so little product. I guess one way to do it would be to buy one for $36 and refill it with whatever color you want to try next for another $22 but you’d have to finish it first unless the refill fits over the old one when it pops out…..still too little product though for your $$.
They are extremely expensive (one of the most expensive by the ounce on the market). One thing I’ll note is that the formula is pretty pigmented and definitely isn’t one where you go over and over to apply and lasts longer, so they can (and do) last longer than some formulas that are larger but I definitely purchased all refills and just remove and insert for photos. From comments I’ve read over time both here and elsewhere in the community, though, a lot of people prefer full packaging, even if more expensive!
The refills are easy to remove and swap, so you can just have one holder and rotate through if that’s something preferred! I don’t think there’s any real “affordable” world for these except for someone who uses one or two shades regularly and goes through them often enough where, at some point, the savings by purchasing a refill at $22 is better than spending $36-45 on a full-sized lipstick. I’m not sure how long that would take, LOL, but someone make it a math problem 😉
