Givenchy Street Rose, Rose Nocturne, Purple Fiction Rouge Interdit Satin Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Street Rose (04)
Givenchy Street Rose (04) Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly and never tugged on the lips. The texture was creamy with moderate slip, which made it incredibly comfortable to wear and hydrating over time. The color could have sat more flatteringly on the lips, as it had a tendency to gravitate toward my lip lines over the three hours it wore for.
The formula is supposed to have “vibrant, satin color” with “long-lasting wear” and “absolute comfort.” The best part about the formula is that it is very hydrating, but the downside is shorter wear time (three to five hours) and a more balm-like texture that slides around and can be more high-maintenance with deeper shades. The pigmentation varied from shade to shade (based on the six I tried) from semi-opaque to opaque coverage. There was a sweet, floral scent and subtle taste (sometimes I noticed it, other times I did not).

Rose Nocturne (06)
Givenchy Rose Nocturne (06) Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had good color coverage that applied beautifully on the lips with smooth, even color. The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being heavy and not too slippery, so the color stayed in place better than other shades in the range. It wore well for four hours and was hydrating while worn.

Purple Fiction (07)
Givenchy Purple Fiction (07) Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brighter, purpled berry with cool undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was slightly buildable with a second or third pass, but it was never opaque. The texture was lightweight, creamy with moderate slip, and I could feel it move around a bit on the lips. I did not personally experience feathering with this shade, though that is not something that happens frequently to me. This shade was longer lasting than most and stayed on well for five hours, and it left a subtle stain behind. The formula was moisturizing over time.

Purple fiction is a BEAUTY. I own rebel, BUT I have less than a season left of it. It’s down to a sliver of lipstick :P.
I love that this one has a more glossy, and less opaque finish if thet makes sense?
Soeaking of lipstick!I meant to email you, Christine. I chose my first high end lipstick for working with government people for work! It’s a YSL, it’s a matte, and it’s a bright raspberry shade!which is something I can wear either in winter or summer! 😀 thank you for your help!
Sounds like you picked a winner there, Shannon! 🙂 My pleasure.
Purple Fiction is my fave here!
Nice pick!
Purple Fiction and Rose Nocturne are beauties! My personal fave is Purple Fiction, which is probably *why* I already have similar shades, including UD After Dark.
But Rose Nocturne looks like a beautiful everyday type of shade! Hopefully, it will still be around once I’ve managed to make a sizable dent in my already owned everyday shades!
There’s a good chance! These are all permanent and part of their core range. They redid the range just this year, so I suspect we’ll see it for a bit!
Street Rose is a gorgeous nude shade! I’m trying to not buy every colour from this range but the formula is so good!
What are your favorite shades from the range, Stephanie?
Givenchy has such great lipsticks they all look beautiful. I love your eye look & how pretty it looks with all three shades.
They know how to do a great lipstick formula!
Whilst these are not my shades, that Purple Fiction shade is quite a surprise – it is quite a brighter colour on the lips than what it appears.
It does look a bit lighter and brighter on!
Are these lipsticks new releases?
They came out a few months ago.
I’ll take one of each! 🙂
I really like the looks of these, but I know I have dupes for them sadly. Maybe later on I’ll pick up of these.
These are really pretty shades and I’m tempted by Street Rose and Rose Nocturne even though I own UD Native and Weirdo.
These all look pretty good! I’ll have to check out the formula. The one lipstick I have from them is heavily scented/taste, I will assume these are similar?
