Givenchy Heroic Pink & Heroic Red Le Rouges Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Givenchy Heroic Pink (212) Le Rouge
Givenchy Heroic Pink (212) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark berry with a satin finish. It had rich, opaque pigmentation that applied with smooth, even coverage. The consistency was incredibly silky and smooth, so it glided on easily and was comfortable to wear while being flattering worn, as it made my lips appear fuller and softer. On me, the color wore for five hours and was hydrating over time. The formula has a floral scent but no discernible taste. ColourPop Plastics (LE, $7.00) is darker (90% similar). Givenchy Heroic Red (321) Le Rouge ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a creamy, lightly glossy sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a smooth, creamy consistency that was easy to apply and sat well on the lips. It made my lips appear softer, plumper, and smoother overall. The color wore well for six hours, left a stain behind, and was hydrating. The formula has a floral scent but no discernible taste. Chanel Carmin (LE, $37.00) is brighter (95% similar). They are both stunners.. I could certainly dupe Heroic Pink .. the finish is beautiful on this formula.
Le Rouge wins at finish!
OMG, I know.. I had to come back for another look at these two. LOL
WOW! Those shades are stunning!! Especially Heroic Pink! Really wow!!
It’s such a smooth shade!
(groan) I LOVE Heroic Pink, have been looking for this color for a while, but I hate fragrance in lipsticks, and it’s in the middle of the ingredient list, so no-go for me. I’m ok with a vanilla, cupcake, or natural scent, but since this is Givenchy, it’s probably straight up perfume. I think the dupes are more reddish berry in color, will continue looking….
BTW, I noticed you are really cranking out the pics and reviews. Thank you for all your hard work!!
Yeah, if you don’t like floral 🙁 I’d skip Le Rouges!
Wow these are both gorgeous. I had not realized the Le rouge line was almost same price as Nars Audacious. In my mind Givenchy is more luxe/expensive.
It’s funny how that works out! Audacious is NARS’ “premium” offering, though – I remember when they came out, it was a big deal that the price was so much higher than the regular lipstick!
Heroic Pink is beautiful!
That seems to be everyones fave!
Heroic Pink is gorgeous! I love the berry color, and I am always here for satin finishes.
It is lovely!
Ah, Heroic Pink. That one is quite the pretty one, and not too run of the mill shade wise, either! I did see the CP Boogie is listed as a “possible dupe”, though. I do have Boogie (such a cool shade!), but really love Heroic Pink.
It’s cooler, I think, which is why it is a bit harder to dupe!
The Heroic Pink is gorgeous. Favorite kind of color.
Do you have any other recs for shades in the same family, Alison?
Are these shades part of the holiday collection? Or fall? I feel like a keep missing out on Givenchy’s LE collections because I never know when to expect them in stores, and which stores get them.
I don’t know – I just spied them on Sephora a few months back – I think fall? ish? I’ve had them since August.
Heroic Pink looks stunning on you, Christine. I need to try it! ??
Heroic pink is beautiful and an A+ wow. I like Heroic red also but it is just too bright for me. I just purchased two Sisley lipsticks that were 1/2 price but I am still tempted.
Love love 212. (Pink)
Very nice! Esp Heroic Pink!
Heroic Pink! Let me count the ways that I love thee! Heroic Red is nice but too neon a red for me to pull off.
I tried to resist but I couldn’t just ordered Heroic Pink. You giving it an A+ and I just love the color it is beautiful.
Even this pink, er, no thank you person would love heroic! But, having loved the 4 loaded bolds I got, maybe will try to curtail the spending, and do berry bossy on the next Ulta Maybelline sale. But the Givenchy is just a smidge more unique. Maybe this and Bond. Only slightly pink….
I found a must have in this review, Heroic Pink! Gorgeous colour, and the formula seems just amazing. Thank you so much for reviewing these!
Both look fantastic on you!!!
Oh my goodness, I *love* Heroic Pink! I’ve got to get this one!
Heroic Pink is very special, it has just the right amount of purple or violet that the dupes don’t have. It’s a winner.
Oh yes Heroic Pink will be my first Givenchy lipstick!!! I recently tried a deluxe sample (several uses) of Givenchy Teint Couture foundation and I looooooove it!!! Number 4 Beige is such a good match surprisingly and it’s a beautiful foundation I wonder why no one talks about it!!! It makes me want to try more Givenchy.
Never heard of these shades …
what a fantastic find …
heroic pink would be my pick ….
you are looking stunninggggggg
Question for you, Christine – I love your beautiful lip swatches, but many times if I choose a color you’ve swatched, it turns out much darker/cooler on me. I’m very pale/fair, with neutral/cool undertones, and I guess my lip’s natural color is a little mauvey. Do you think this means my lip pigmentation is darker and cooler than yours? Just trying to base my purchases off your reviews while also taking my coloring into account! 😉
It can be lighting, your coloring (think about how white looks against black – very contrasting, so a black can look deeper as a result, whereas if you put black against a navy, you might not see the richness), your natural lip color, and so forth. My guess is that your cooler and very fair skin makes everything appear more dramatic on you!
These colors look so good on you. You are so beautifull Christine. I think we should tell our fellow women that more often.
Lots of love and thank you for being such a lovely person.
Thank you so much, Alexandra! 🙂
Heroic Pink is to die for! The color may not be that special, but the finish is divine. I got this shade yesterday and it’s super pretty. <3 Thanks for the review, Christine. 🙂
