Fenty Beauty Retro Rose, Goji Gang, Cookies & Cocoa Slip Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Retro Rose
Fenty Beauty Retro Rose Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a light-medium coral with moderate, warm undertones and fine, multi-colored pearl paired with a luminous sheen. It appeared warmer when swatched, so I think that it pulled out the natural pink tones in my underlying lip color.
The texture felt creamy without being too slippery, lightweight, and balmy once on without being tacky or prone to settling into my lip lines (I was surprised that it made my lips appear smoother). It had semi-sheer coverage that could be built up to medium coverage with a second layer. This shade wore well for four hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.098 oz. - $224.49 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "sheer" coverage that is "ultra comfortable" that "lock[s] in moisture." It's designed to be something you can apply without a mirror (which just really make it clear that it is a sheerer product), but it does say "buildable" with multiple layers. The consistency was moderately dense in the tube but melted subtly as I applied it to my lips, and it felt more emollient after a few seconds of wear. They felt lightweight without being tacky, and it had more of a light-medium level of slip, so it didn't seem to slide around a lot during wear. It definitely has a balmy feel on the lips but has some staying power (but less than say, an opaque, satin lipstick).
The coverage was semi-sheer and buildable to medium coverage if desired for most shades. The deeper shades were more visible on my lips as they offered more contrast to my natural lip color, whereas the lighter and more mid-tone shades had less noticeable differences once applied. Keep in mind that sheerer lip products are greatly influenced by one's natural lip color, so they can look quite different from person to person.
There were a few shades that were more prone to settling into fine lines, while other shades appeared shiny and smoothing. They were comfortable to wear as the formula felt hydrating over time, though wear time was three to four hours, depending on the shade.
It had a sweet, vanilla scent with a touch of fruitiness to me, and I felt like there was a subtle, sweet taste I could detect at times.

Goji Gang
Fenty Beauty Goji Gang Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a medium-dark rosy-mauve with subtle, warm undertones and fine, golden pearl. It had sheer to semi-sheer pigmentation in a single layer, which built up to semi-sheer to medium coverage with a second layer. The texture felt lightweight, balmy, and lightly creamy with some slip but not to the point where it felt like it slid around during wear. It lasted well for three and a half hours and felt hydrating while worn.

Cookies and Cocoa
Fenty Beauty Cookies and Cocoa Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a muted, medium mauve with warmer undertones and warm, golden pearl throughout its luminous sheen. It had semi-sheer color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging on them during application.
The impressive aspect of the formula was that it smoothed out my lip lines and still had shine and moderate slip. The consistency was lightweight, balmy but not too slippery, and comfortable to wear. The color stayed on nicely for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

They’re all dupes for each other? lol nice. Someone in another post (sorry I forgot the exact one) said it would have been nice had Fenty matched these to their recently released blushes and I totally agree! Formula seems nice.
They’re definitely somewhat similar – part of it is that there aren’t as many similar products to pull from for this type of finish (sheerer, glossier) compared to an opaque, satin-matte kind of lipstick (in virtually any color).
that is very true!
Of this set, I’m inclined to give Cookies And Cocoa a go. It looks like a perfect MLBB lipstick for me. Particularly for lighter makeup days.
The other two look too alike while worn for me to choose between them.
This is a nice release from Fenty. I have been happy with their recently released products. For awhile there I was worried that the brand was going down the tubes since there was a spate of really poor performing products. I like several of these shades and will try and pick up a couple of the slightly darker tones. My natural lip pigmentation makes using lighter shades a bit problematic. I really like Bubblerum.
These are lovely and it’s nice to see they got a recommended stamp! The price point over quantity on Fenty lip products is super high, but these are looking really lovely.
Cookies and Cocoa looks like a lovely, everyday kind of lipstick shade.
