BUXOM Backyard Bronze Staycation Vibes Bronzer Review & Swatches
Backyard Bronze
Buxom Backyard Bronze Staycation Vibes Primer-Infused Bronzer ($28.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a more muted, medium brown with subtle, golden undertones and a satin finish. It was a warmer-toned bronzer, but muted so it didn’t turn orange or peach when applied. The texture was incredibly soft and silky to the touch without being too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan, so it picked up beautifully with a brush but still blended out with little effort.
It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but it could be used with a lighter hand to build up coverage if preferred. There was a beachy, coconut scent… sunscreen, coconut, and breezy… that was noticeable in the pan and somewhat (to a lesser degree) when applied. It stayed on nicely for nine hours before fading visibly.

I’m not really a bronzer gal but I can see myself using this beauty, if only to match my paper white neck to my slightly less pale face.
The lack of orange and the beautiful natural finish on this totally sells it to me! Somewhere around here, I do have a very old pot of CP Poolside SSC(heek). I doubt that it’s still any good, but will now try to find it since it’s a listed dupe. But, I do still want the Buxom one, too.
I am so glad you reviewed this! I’ve been waiting to see and read a reliable review. I’m definitely getting this bronzer.
Somebody at Buxom has a sense of humor, “Staycation” and “Backyard Bronze”, so appropriate! Pretty much sums up my plans for the day.
OK, I laughed when I saw the name of this one. That’s definitely a mood.
This looks like a good solid shade, but the last time I tried a scented bronzer it made my skin flush so it looked more like a bright blush ๐
Wow, only 4 grams! Thatโs definitely not a lot… looks beautiful though!
