Fenty Beauty Pink Lemonade Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick Review & Swatches
Pink Lemonade
Fenty Beauty Pink Lemonade Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick ($25.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a pop of medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and fine, gold pearl throughout. The texture was thin, lightweight, and felt like a cream-to-powder when initially applied to my skin and turned more powder-like after a few seconds of contact. There was enough slip that it felt more cream-like from the tube, though. The pigmentation was nearly opaque when applied directly from the tube and more buildable from sheer to opaque when applied with a brush or fingertip. It applied evenly and diffused easily along the edges on bare skin as well as on top of foundation. The color lasted well for eight hours on me before fading a bit. The standalone (permanent) version performed better than the original I tried in the holiday set.

Formula Overview
$25.00/0.25 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be long-wearing with a “light-as-air,” “blendable” texture that “lives to be layered." They twist-up and are medium-sized with a domed edge. I found that applying to my fingertips worked better than direct application, as it enabled me greater control over coverage level as well as placement, and if you tend to apply over foundation, then this will help keep the Match Stix cleaner, too.
The texture was thin, and it did seem to go from a “cream” in the tube to a more powder-like product once on the skin. They were fairly blendable with a few being more sparkly with less visible base color, which may not be for everyone, and others had a more pearl-like sheen that didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture. Most shades applied and blended out without lifting up foundation or pulling into pores (over bare skin), but the ones that did tended to have larger particles in them. They lasted between six and eight hours on me.
A problem I had throughout just swatching each shade on my cheeks for photos was that whatever was exposed was a bit dry, more powdery to the touch, and I felt like I had to really warm the product up and/or swipe it back and forth on the back of my hand to refresh the texture. This is not uncommon with drier, cream-based formulas, but it's still a downside and an area that could be improved upon. Some shades were very pigmented, others were medium and buildable, and a couple were sheerer.

Definitely the one I was interested in, but I tend to go for this type of pink, prefer something a titch cooler like TF Wicked tho.. Anyhow, I can dupe in powder on many levels so will take a pass.
One out three kept its original form, thank goodness. Just not one out of my own short list. But, there’s still one of those left, so all hope’s not lost yet!
Very pretty color! I still haven’t purchased anything Fenty…maybe soon.
Bonnie, the only thing I’ve purchased from Fenty is the loose setting powder in the cooler shade and it’s lovely (though the packaging it more than a bit badly thought out!). Up til now, nothing else has really interested me, but this blush and the darker, plummy one (I forget the name) both have piqued my interest and have me falling down that rabbit hole….again!
That looks nice, very pretty shade.
This is ever so pretty. I really don’t need or even want more blush but I have to go to Sephora tomorrow anyway so I may just get this, if they have it in yet.
Nice one!
I find this color to be very pretty and will consider buying it when I build up my discretionary incomes builds up after the mad sales binges of last month.
The formula sounds like just what I look for in a cream blush. I gave away the Laura Geller Rosewater and rarely use TF Wicked. Both are a bit too doll like on me. If Fenty has a more rose- nude shade I’d definitely consider purchasing.
This is the kind of shade I love, but I can’t justify buying anymore blush at this point. I will try to resist.
I just left Sephora after swatching this shade and the deeper one (Bordeaux Brat?) and left without buying either. I’m not wild about the texture and this shade looks a lot like Mac’s Into the Pink on me. The deeper shade is too deep and almost bronze toned on me.
This is the kind of shade that speaks directly to my heart. There’s something about the ever so slight slight amount of yellow in those med. depth pinks that play well on my olive NC13-15 skin. When I saw the pic my first thought was LG Rosewater, and sure enough, bingo on the dupe. (I backed up two Rosewater blushes when I saw them at TJ Maxx recently…that formulation is among the best LG ever put out, yes hunty). I’m interested in the Fenty bc on dry winter skin it may be a lifesaver. It also looks like a close tone-on-tone companion to TF’s Tutti Frutti collex Stawberry Sparkle highlighter (which is a literal dupe of Rosewater on shimmer steroids). I can’t wait to check this out!
