Fenty Beauty Money (10) Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Money (10)
Fenty Beauty Money (10) Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a new, limited edition six-pan palette that featured two matte eyeshadows with four shimmery eyeshadows. The color story worked well together with the exception of Rubbabandz, which was quite warm and lacked the depth to pair well with most shades in the palette. A deeper, matte green or cooler, black-brown could have worked well here, I think.
The quality was slightly better than the original release of eyeshadows by the brand; the mattes were very blendable foolproof to work with, but the shimmers are slightly too emollient on average.

Phat Pockets
Phat Pockets is a medium-dark, emerald green with subtle, cool undertones and fine, golden pearl that gave it more of a satin sheen. The texture was more firmly-pressed into the pan, but it didn’t seem stiff to work with, though it applied best by pressing and gently pulling the color to spread it out on my lid. It had rich color payoff that wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "rich, blendable color" that is available in "matte, shimmer, and glitter long-wear finishes." There were a few distinctive formulas used throughout the palettes in which the eyeshadows are housed, but generally, they were decent eyeshadows that were buildable, fairly blendable, and had decent wear, but I felt like most of the shimmers were thin, a little dusty, and had a tendency to look less shimmery once applied (almost a faded quality to them).
The matte formula was most consistent and had semi-opaque to opaque color coverage that went on fairly evenly and blended out without too much effort, though some deeper shades took longer to diffuse or went on patchily initially and had to be diffused and blended out to a more even application. The wear ranged from seven to eight hours on me before they showed signs of fading.
The shimmer formula was typically thin, dusty, and more prone to sheering out or looking somewhat "faded" and less shimmery after a few minutes on my lid. There were a few shades that seemed to have a denser, thicker formulation that offered greater intensity in its shimmer finish but had light fallout and looked thicker on the lid, so they did not layer as well with the other shades (which were thinner). The wear ranged from six to eight hours before fading.
The glitters had a gritty feel to them, as one might expect of a glitter-packed product, with decent spreadability. The wear ranged from seven to eight hours with light to moderate fallout.

Need Receipts
Need Receipts is a very light, golden green with strong,w arm undertones and a frosted sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The consistency was smooth, lightly emollient and had some slip, though it adhered well without a fuss. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Thyme is Money
Thyme is Money is a brighter, light-medium lime green with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single pass, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well without losing its intensity.
The consistency was soft, finely-milled, and easy to work with and it had just a touch of powderiness in the pan. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Rubbabandz
Rubbabandz is a muted, medium olive green with strong, warm brown undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque buildable coverage with a soft, silky texture that was somewhat powdery. As long as I tapped off the excess prior to applying the eyeshadow, fallout wasn’t an issue, and it blended out quite nicely. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit is a medium green with moderate, warm undertones and cooler, emerald green and green-gold pearl. The texture was denser, though not thick, and felt more emollient, so it worked better with a fingertip or really pressed/patted on rather than swept on or else the color could get uneven.
I didn’t have issues just diffusing and softening the edges, though. It had nearly opaque color coverage that lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Flash Money
Flash Money is a bright, medium yellow-gold with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic finish. The texture was dense, lightly creamy but slightly thicker, which actually worked out as it made it easier to pick up and to apply without it being prone to turning uneven (like with Direct Deposit!). It had rich color payoff that adhered evenly and stayed on nicely for eight hours before showing signs of wear.

The rating is a pleasant surprise. I really like the color scheme, though I don’t have a need for these shades in my own collection.
I’m glad I waited for the review before buying this cute green palette. I have a lot of green eye shadows and this one is nice but I agree it lacks a deeper shade for depth. If I didn’t have so many green palettes I’d get this one and use a deep matte green shadow to deepen.
Rubbabandz doesn’t show any green shade on my monitor. I trust your description as my monitor frequently doesn’t show accurate colour. Normally I would love this palette as it is mostly green leaning but none of the shades look really different to me and I have quite a few greens from Sydney Grace which I love so not picking this up.
This is just a more expensive and very slightly expanded version of the $3 e.l.f. Jalapeño palette. And that palette is amazing quality and knocks the socks off many brands ten times the price.
I agree. Hot Jalapeño is my HG green palette.
Hot Jalapeno is better than Juicy Olive that everyone raves about, too. I love it! And only $3!
It may be the case, but Elf doesn’t seem to be as widely available as Fenty (from their website, they only ship to the US and Canada). I wish I could try them, everyone keeps saying how good they are, but the only online retailer I found that carries the brand doesn’t have these palettes.
Even though I really love the color scheme here, I probably do have enough green palettes to get something close, maybe? That gorgeous matte lime, though. I have nothing like that!
What a gorgeous green themed palette this one has turned out to be. I love the varying shades of green and the palette is of really good quality. I may just pick this one up.
I love your eye look too Christine.
My green fix was satisfied with Natasha Denona’s Mini Gold palette. That palette had a very light shade that wouldn’t be suitable for everyone though.
Gorgeous eye look… :o) Makes me think of fall and I’m so ready for fall!
